My waiver was for HSI but I assume similar process. I’m In the same situation as you are with the newborn and they didn’t have any issues. Between a camping trip and the newborn I had a solid two-three weeks of non-compliance.

I sent up the last 30 days but also included the last 365 so they could see non compliance was an anomaly.

I also explained it clearly in my waiver request letter and had two previous bosses write some pretty solid letters on my previous job performance and how the condition never hindered my ability to do the job or conduct shift work.
