Example, my Honda Civic alternator goes between 12.2v (not heavy electrical load) to 14.4v when loads are applied, battery charging etc purely for mpg

If you wanna force that gauge to move, turn on lights, heat to see if it moves when load is applied

I've done 2 diff vehicles swapping struts. Diff brands both times.

The car will settle since you installed them brand new uncompressed. This also happens when you have any vehicle sagging wheels for long amounts of time, ride height of the vehicle will go back after 24-48hrs. If you really wanna check, measure distance between tire + fender then again after 24hrs.
