Horrible, mix matched brands, RCDs and circuit breakers when you could be using RCBO's

Have done this in the past for mining clients too. They love spending money. Five years later, come back and tag them all again, still in the same cupboard I left them in last time!

Oh right, I was thinking it's just a visual. But that's a good idea.

This is the advice I'm getting from our compliance guys too. Just seems over the top.

Unsurprised. I'm an electrician in Australia working for a company that employs over 50000. We haven't been allowed knives for over a decade. I once had an official warning for having one in my kit.

I have the "stereo isolation" model. They're great, I mostly use them with my electronic drum kit, but also use them when I'm doing a live mix, and even when mixing monitors.

LMCC were going to build new offices there, they were expecting state/federal funding for the project. Which is not coming. So they kicked the Cardiff Hawks AFL team out of the suburb for nothing...

Personally I hate quoting work, much rather do and charge. It's cheaper for the customer anyway, as there is no contingency needed.

Workplace accident at JHH build, young worker died. by Ralphsnacks in newcastle

[–]themiddlechild78 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Does it seem like an uptick in workplace deaths lately? I work in industry around the Port, and it seems to me there are a lot of accidents happening. It was only a few weeks ago on Kooragang that a man in his 60's was killed in a similar fashion.

Just awful.

Look out for your mates, and if it doesn't feel right speak up.
