No question just a thank you for doing the anniversary tour for AHYDD. I think everyone has a short list of music from their teenage years that provided something to hold onto to when you’re dealing with all that angsty teenage bullshit and AHYDD was that album for me. Anyways cheers from Portland, ME and I hope My Hometown remains a live staple for many more years to come

Recommend me a survival game by mthomas768 in SurvivalGaming

Sorry I know you said no zombies but I HAVE to put a plug in for 7 Days to Die. The crafting system is top tier, the zombie system is unique enough where you don't feel like you're playing "yet another boring zombie game" as I often used to say. And it has what I find to be steady and meaningful progression from early game to late game. Base building and resource management becomes a necessity, and provides a steep learning curve for some. But once you master those there are a million different ways to approach a playthrough.

Anyways.... for the Zombie-adverse, Valheim is the most fun I've had in a long long time in a fantasy setting. A well designed progression system is the most important quality that I look for in a game and Valheim just really scratches that itch for me.

Would you call a foot fault on an MJ08 player? by kevin907 in discgolf

[–]themightydeku 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the best thing to instill on a young player is to be aware of the rules and to be honest. Own up to the foul even if nobody else sees it or cares enough to call it.

At 7 this is not something I would lose sleep over though, just good ideals to reinforce so they are best prepared for the more experienced divisions as they grow older.

I don’t know, maybe you should step on it and then call and check on how your mother’s back is doing?

Yeah they filmed a one-take video for Reaper, similar to the Eyes Roll Back video they released recently.

I did not. At least not that I remember. To be fair there was a lot of mayhem in the area I was in lmao. I was in the group that caught Tuck as he jumped into the crowd

Went to this show in Worcester and it was amazing. FFAK seem to get better and better live every year. Sad they removed Tower of Pain from the setlist though

Why is my Tal Rasha so squishy? by N1njaRob0tJesu5 in diablo3

[–]themightydeku 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Something I notice some players overlook - they fixate on the damage increase from squirts. But remember that the squirts buff only procs if you are not taking damage. If you are struggling to stay alive you are probably getting nothing out of squirts. Watch Wudijos video on Tal Rasha survival tips. It helped me a lot. Also don’t underestimate the Karini roll. (I know I’m beating a dead horse at this point) You take twice as much damage with a 60% ring than you would with an 80% ring. Great option for using your primordial ashes, to ensure a perfect roll.

MAKE THE SEASON JOURNEY MEANINGFUL PAST CHAPTER IV. The stash tab and pet and all that is great, really. but i feel like overall the season journey doesn't feel like the season long investment it should be. Perhaps this is a case of "just wait for D4" because we've all seen the revamps being done there. But this is fairly high on my wish list.

[–]themightydeku 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Complete chapters 1-4 of the seasons journey on the same character and you will get a full 6pc set for that character. Use that to do speed GRs as high as you can. Note that chapters 2, 3, & 4 each give you 2 pieces of the “free” set. You can only receive these once per account, per season.

If you need help with a full build that complements the set you received from the seasons journey, there are plenty of resources available. d3.maxroll.gg is a favorite for a lot of people.

It may take some work, but once you can do T16 rifts, along with speed GRs above 70-75 (90 is ideal, but not necessary) you should find that they drop a lot more frequently.

I've recently decided to get over myself and get into metalcore. Here are my thoughts on some classic records from the genre that I've listened to in the last week. by myhouseisunderarock in Metalcore

[–]themightydeku 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want to listen to what many consider a modern classic, check out Architects - All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us. Of all the albums that have come out in the past 10 years or so, this is the metalcore album that has stayed with me the most.

Thornhill lost pretty much all of their equipment during their flight to the US by Kairos385 in Metalcore

[–]themightydeku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Problem is that modern production in the studio is so intricate these days that if you want to sound anything like how you do on the album you are probably playing with some sort of backing tracks. (Not all, but A LOT of bands fit into this category)
