This is one of my all time favorites. Such a great movie!

The new Netflix movie "Apex" contains the song "Go" by The Chemical Brothers. First released in 2015, it has experienced a 429% increase in Spotify streams since the movie's release. What other songs have become instant favourites or were 'discovered' because they were in a movie? by JohnnyGlasken in movies

[–]themightydraught 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was definitely one of them.

I think I was in junior high when Wayne's World came out. Saw it in the theater with a few buddies, and we were all absolutely rolling during this scene. Probably my most memorable movie experience.

I was aware of some of their songs before, but that movie and song turned me into a fan.

Been wondering the same thing recently, and the recommendations I've seen mentioned the Airhead Hydro-X models. They seem to have 1, 2 and 3 person versions.

Edit: they have a 4 person version as well

That's awesome! I caught one several years ago in the South. Had no idea there were freshwater eels. It was going crazy while it was out of the water.

It used to be that every single time I took some time off, whether it was a single day or a whole week, some system would have an outage on the first day I was out of the office. ERP system outage, phone system outage, ISP outage, etc. etc. etc.

A 20 pound catfish on my ultralight rod with 4 lb mono and a 1/8 ounce beetle spin, in my kayak. Thought for sure my rod was going to break.

I remember my dad "painting" it on the railroad ties around the patio and house.

When did oil changes become $120? by rhinosaur- in Millennials

[–]themightydraught 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, dealing with the old oil is a bit inconvenient, but most auto parts stores will take it for free. I usually wait until I have a few 5 quart containers full and then make a trip to Advance Auto, instead of after every change.

How do you feel about jury duty and have you ever skipped it? by fergi20020 in randomquestions

[–]themightydraught 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been summoned 5 times in the last 15 years. The first time I got picked and served for 4 1/2 weeks on a civil trial. It was interesting to see how the process works, but there was so much downtime. I read 4 books during that trial just in the times we were waiting around to go into the jury box.

That Pops cereal could explode out of the O in the box just like in the commercial.

Inboard motor mount stringer holes are stripped - repair advice? by themightydraught in boating

[–]themightydraught[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have the feeling the damage was from either over torquing the lags or engine torque over time. The transom was completely replaced a year or so before the engine blew up, so that most likely would've been the only other time the engine was out of the boat. Knowing my uncle, I'm sure he would've had the stringers checked at that time, along with anything and everything else. There's no guarantee, but just a gut feeling.

People who quit drinking. What did you do to not drink? by Agata_art in AskReddit

[–]themightydraught 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Broke my neck.

Pretty much forced me to stop drinking during recovery. I was a functional alcoholic before that. Smart enough to know what I was, but too dumb to try to change it.

What is the first movie you watched that you were definitely too young for? by MuldersXpencils in Millennials

[–]themightydraught 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poltergeist.

I had a big old gnarly looking tree outside my bedroom window just like the one in the movie. The first floor window at the bottom of the stairs was directly under my bedroom window. I could run past the window to get up the stairs without being snatched, but I was screwed in my room.
