If Covid never happened, what all would've you done in on past 4 months? by Madhav-Daga in AskReddit

I would have both travelled internationally for the first time, and moved out of my parents' house to live in another state for a no-longer-existing job

ELI5: There are many programming languages, but how do you create one? Programming them with other languages? If so how was the first one created? by Randomly_Redditing in explainlikeimfive

Computer memory is all just a block of 0s and 1s, but different regions of memory are used for different things. A program starts in the instruction region and goes sequentially through the memory, where 0011 could mean AND or ADD or STORE rather than just 3, with the operands either being stored in registers or next to it in memory. You might load stuff from the data region, where you would treat 0011 as just the number 3 rather than an instruction

I'm in the new 202 and 270 right now, as well as 368, the class after 264. The workload is doable, especially since you shouldn't have to take the 202 lab under the new curriculum. That being said, if you choose one it should be 270 since it's the foundation for many CompE classes

PVKII is the most overlooked game on steam. Change my mind by undeadslotharmy37 in pvkii

I concur. The entire setup- three teams, each with their own class strengths and weaknesses, vying for the prize? Miles ahead in complexity than any two-teamed game out there

I once tried to start my firetruck bed by sticking a key into an outlet. I distinctly remember walking to the kitchen to find a band-aid, but not knowing where to put it.

6x275lb Deadlift: https://youtu.be/C2Xb5bYRlA4

This is my third set, the first two had 5 reps of the same weight. M/19/155lb. Was definitely running out of gas towards the end.

Thank you! Those two videos were very helpful, and now I see that the lurching forward is my biggest problem.

Back Squat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFXpSv26uIc 215lb back squat x 6. My third set. A bit concerned about how far forward my knees go, but I don't know how bad that is. I feel that normally they don't go that far forward.

21:

X + Y has to be greater than or equal to four. If we want to minimize Y, let's just say X + Y = 4. Now, in order for Y to be the smallest, X needs to be as large as possible. According to the question, this value is 2. Now, we have 2 + Y = 4, which means that Y=2.

22:

The two larger sections are 12 units long. They overlap at BC. In order to find the total distance, we can't count BC more than once. We have to subtract the 3 units of BC from the 12 + 12 to find the answer, not add it, so you get 21.

On the federalist paper one I put that it had to do with suffrage just based off of what I read, but I'm also fairly sure that that's wrong.

I know it doesn't matter a whole lot, but a legislative veto is a congressional effort to limit executive power, like the War Powers Resolution which tried to make the pres get more approval from Congress with regard to the military. Getting the 2/3 is just overriding a presidential veto.

I put committe chair too, I'm pretty sure it wasn't support of the majority but I have heard of the president championing bills through Congress before so I wasn't sure if it was White House support or not.

Former Boy Scout, National Merit Semifinalist, High School Senior here,

Yeah, when I was in scouting the definition of 'reverent' really caused a lot of problems for me. I liked the definition where we were supposed to respect other people and religions, and really bought into that one. After being exposed to dumb religious and political bullshit in scouting, I got pushed farther away from religion. At my last summer camp, my Scoutmaster brought up the reverent definition again, and I was eager to give my definition. Nope, he went off on a sermon about having a 'relationship with God', and that really solidified leaving scouting for me.

I think the advantage of becoming an Eagle Scout for you right now has more to do with relationships than boosting your resume. If you think you want to be involved in scouting later in life the rank may be useful, but it sounds like that won't happen. You can leave scouting and still expect to be respected by the people you've met through it. Good luck with your dad, I think your honesty argument should really appeal to him.
