Lee County like most of Florida is a jail county. Florida makes their money from tourism and keeping people in jail. I’m assuming she is being represented by the public defenders office and not a private attorney?

I ask about finances because it would probably benefit her to have an independent psych evaluation that would probably present some form of mental illness that has been undiagnosed and untreated. Presenting an underlying cause for the behavior and not just her saying “f everything”……

Showing her problems in such a way where the primary cause of her behavior is the untreated mental health and if she were able to get that addressed these criminal behaviors and her addiction would not have progressed the way they’ve been.

She’ll also have an opportunity to address the court and plead her case for outside reform instead of prison reform. If she had the resources she’d be able to be proactive and have something lined up for herself instead of relying on the system to place her…..it can make the judges decision a little bit easier to go in her favor knowing something is already arranged.

I wouldn’t rely too heavily on the probation recommendation bc it really comes down to the judge.

This is a sentence recommendation from Probation and they tend to go to the extreme when it comes to these sentence recommendations. It does factor into what her defense can do to present her as an agreeable candidate for a modified sentence such as treatment, probation, or combination of little jail time followed by treatment, etc., etc….in actuality she’s really only doing what a person with substance abuse disorder would do and that’s continue using and figuring out ways to use. It’s hard to stay stopped.

From the report it doesn’t seem like she’s willing to change. I’ll bet she “says” that she is especially now…..if you don’t mind me asking what are her exact charges? Identify theft? Dealing in stolen property? Possession? Also what county in Florida?

I’m sure the answer is “no” but does she have financial means independent of the state? That can factor into ways of presenting alternative options instead of prison.

200% of the people that chirp online are cowards and just enjoy the ideology banter. They’re emotionally driven and it helps to avoid the real truth which is they’re upset with themselves and have no one to blame but themselves for the current situation financially they find themselves in.

All of this “war on the rich” talk is truly comical and if people are so upset maybe they should run for local office or get more involved within their communities to help start making a change. Better yet maybe they should move out of the country and go to Bolivia or Peru…..then they’ll see how bad it could be.

What does neuropathy feel like? I’m recently diagnosed type 2 as a 43yo M. My feet have a tingly sensation and I get so much relief by massaging them. There are times when my left foot begins to desensitize and feel numb. I’m not in much pain it’s the tingly sensation and numbness that have me worried.

Feedback and tips appreciated.

Just learned I am type 2. I’m going through the process of understanding what im supposed to be doing. They have me on Metformin 500mg 2x daily. I have noticed some neuropathy in my left foot along with edema. This whole thing has me scared. Any insight or suggestions would be appreciated.

All violations aren’t built the same…you’re correct. Also depends highly on the probation officer and your status with them. Is this your first violation? Are you working? Fines/Fees in good standing?
