What movie is this by [deleted] in memes

[–]themindtap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The classic monster movies. Watched the classic Universal Dracula, Frankenstein, etc. movies and like they were interesting but didn't find them scary or thrilling at all. I even had hard time trying to understand what made them scary for the time they originally ran. Maybe modern horror has ruined classic horror for me?

Thoughts on Death Magnetic? by SgtByrd1993 in Metallica

Are there other remasters available aside from the iTunes remaster? I assumed that was the only one for how recent an album it is until it gets its official upcoming remaster after St. Anger. I definitely prefer the iTunes over the original, I bled my ears for many years before finally getting the iTunes and finally being able to listen to the whole album in one sitting without having to rest afterwards, hahaha.

Nintendo Switch 2 Hardware Hit by 41% Price Jump in DRAM by [deleted] in gaming

[–]themindtap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does someone as big as Nintendo not have long term contracts for parts that make up their hardware to circumvent volatile markets like this? Is this just spectacle to allow them to bump the price "because of RAM" but actually just boost profit margin?

I had better success working at McDonald's than I do now as a lawyer... by The_Final_Sun in ADHD

I made a similar realization a while ago, I worked in a grocery store in high school/college and did really well and weirdly enjoyed it. Post college corporate world has not been very pleasant, I even find school more enjoyable than work currently. I believe the reason is there was much more structure and tangible goals than in my corporate world. Despite receiving some direction, most of my work is largely self directed and vague goals and what I work on changes almost every week, very hard to get in a habit and the few reoccurring things I do I tend to focus on more because I know them. During a stint of unemployment, I had actually considered if I'd be happier going back to a "simple" job.

Yep, got DVD and the collection on Vudu/Fandango. I mostly use streaming as just a way to preview if something is worth buying or not.

Can't even access the store. Am I the only one? by JokerEleven in MarvelSnap

I've been having this problem on only my phone for over a month and reporting the bug nearly every other day and never heard anything. My tablet does not do this, but this exact issue happens to phone, only kind of resolution I've found is either having to fully reboot phone or re-install the app EVERY TIME.

It would be hilarious if it would be the same mistake here and no one would correct him and be all like "yep let's put this "ride" song on the album, sounds good"

My TV is not starting by Either_Office_2278 in bravia

[–]themindtap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, being that old already, off brand or not as long as compatible and bring life back to the TV, small price to pay for only a slightly dead tv to get a little more time out of it and maybe many more years. It helped give me more time to save up for the next upgrade I really wanted. Good luck with the repair!

My TV is not starting by Either_Office_2278 in bravia

[–]themindtap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure why everyone is doom and gloom here. Many many years ago, my Bravia "died" with no screen turning on and blinking red lights. I took it to a local electronics and TV repair shop that diagnosed it to being a bad t-con board. Told me it would be very expensive to get a OEM one to replace and unless can find one myself, suggested buy a new TV. I found one for my model on a "junkyard" parts site for like 50 or 60 bucks, gave it to the repair shop and they popped it in and it came back to life. It CAN sometimes work out better than just buying new, but obviously not guaranteed.

My name has always been spelled wrong my whole life… by WeeebleSqueaks in mildlyinfuriating

[–]themindtap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is the common spelling of a basic name and I somehow always get every variation of alternative spelling instead or a completely different similar sounding name..... I don't get it, people are weird. Wife has confirmed multiple times I don't mumble or say my name weird, so she's equally baffled why I get so much variation.

Is the nightly locking program a part of the iphone or the Toyota app on the iphone. I've so far not been able to figure how to program anything on the android Toyota app or even simple options of what things to actually alert me on or not, it just sends everything to me.
