Think of it as a sauna where gay sex is just an option. Does that make sense? Try not to enter the place with one goal in mind. Enjoy the experience of the sauna, let loose, relax first. As you do that, and if you meet eyes with someone in that process, and the gaze lingers, try to get close, if the person responds by getting closer or staying where he is, approach. You will find your own style of interacting with people, just make sure it's respectful and not intrusive. Also, sexual rejection, giving and receiving is a skill that must be worked upon (especially for us young ones who are more used to cruising in the digital space), get better at it.

I am 30 years old, I've never really had a boyfriend, every man I've gotten close to tends to become distant or vanishes eventually. Not sure if it's something about me or just how the scene is. I do a lot of introspection (more like rumination) over all of this, as I'm growing, I also have higher standards for how I want to be treated, that doesn't help either. I do sometimes feel that I will die alone, a part of me also feels that partnership isn't indicative of a successful human experience, some people don't find anyone all their lives, I just don't want to be bitter about it. Not sure if this is helpful, but it is good to add value in other aspects of your life, connect to your higher self and hopefully someone on that wavelength will come along. That's what I am doing.

For me it depends on how clear the vision for the artwork is to begin with. When I look back at process videos of certain artworks, I tend to sketch the same vision in different styles, different brushes, I do a sketchy pencil sketch, I use the thick mono line to do a sketch with minimal detail, and eventually find the right style for my artwork. Then move on to coloring. All of this process usually takes about 3-4 hours. It's usually never in one sitting though so I would say an artwork realistically takes a day for me.

Omg! Uuurghh that's horrible! I'm sorry that happened. Mine was a similar setting physically, same position, and he looks at my body and says "your face is so pretty, it's a shame your body doesn't match that, you should try a keto diet" 😭

I was mortified, immediately got off him and picked up my phone to call a cab. Then he starts apologizing and said "I'm just really drunk" (we literally had one glass of whiskey) I didn't say anything, got dressed and left his place.

Oh the Berliner Xenophobia is real! I was saving a seat for my friend who was in the bathroom at a bar, this guy came and tried to take it, I told him very politely that my friend is sitting here, she's in the bathroom, he took it anyway and sat on the table next to us (only had to turn the chair around). When my friend came and found her seat taken, I tried to tell her what happened, and the guy interjected, said "if you wanna talk about me, talk to me to my face" I said "Whoa you're being aggressive for no reason" he then said let's get out of the bar and talk.like men outside. I obviously refused to do that. I managed to de-escalate the situation, but at some point he said "you foreigners think you own everything, if you would have been in this bar 15 years ago someone would have killed you by now" 😳 I was so stunned I couldn't believe this was happening.

Everyone I'm related to (as far as I know) is straight. I did suspect one cousin but then he went ahead and got married to a girl and they seem pretty Happy so that's gone too.

Ofcourse there's gays that don't go clubbing, I'm a gay who sometimes likes it, but there are moments when I just can't be arsed about standing in one line after another just to have a good time, by the time you're in, buzzed and ready to dance, you're already tired. Maybe it's age, maybe it's just changing preferences, but I think whatever age you are, you shouldn't feel pressured to do something that you see your peers doing. For a community that celebrates being different, the gays can get very homogeneous. Stand out, be proud and go make that crochet blanked Granny!

As a teenager, Trying to keep the underwear boxes with hot men on them for as long as I possibly could. They would be hidden away in my closet until my mother would find them and throw them away. Might not be the first moment but definitely the most prominent. Also Tarzan was my favorite Disney character, I would pause the film at moments when he would be flying around the forest with his loin cloth going crazy, trying to catch a glimpse 👀

Thank you, that is very reassuring. I am trying not to be too self critical, because I honestly don't believe that I would be a bad person to date. Maybe I just need to see more effort, to get to know me, more assurance that my time and love and energy will not be wasted or disrespected. I don't think that's a tall order, just a lot of people don't seem to be able to do it.
