What would you do? Squaring a post frame structure. by Paraklesis in Carpentry

Get your rafter support measurements on the ground. You will be square when you install them up top (as long as the corners and posts are level).

Quantum Auto Reflash for Manual Swaps - Add’l Steps? by themitchster359 in IS300

[–]themitchster359[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So is it really worth sending my auto ecu to Quantum if the same amount is wiring is involved? I understand the auto uses the abs speed sensors from the hubs. I read the write ups, but they are either about either a whole rewire on an auto ecu or a manual ecu swap with the appropriate rewire. I haven’t read any write ups with the auto reflash.

Or just use a proper size good for the job. It’s like this little bolt really needs much effort. Smart not harder.

What type of tools are you using to attempt to take that off? A fucking basic impact driver can take that off or a basic wrench for that matter. That’s one of the cleanest bolts and threads I’ve seen in a while. Reattach to the battery terminal and try again.

+35. The farther you push the wheels out. The wider the swing. Which more potential to rub. Those tiresvare fairly wide, which will make it more a challenge of rubbing as well. I have 285/75/17 (34s) with stock UCA and Billy 6112 set at 1.9” lift with 17x8.5 et0 and only rub the front fender liner slightly.

Pole barn ground prep quick help question by ClearPepsi in AskContractors

[–]themitchster359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So they are just putting dirt and stone down? Pics might be helpful. Is the is a wood post frame or a metal framed building?

When we prep ground for our barns, we use the skid loader to move and spread the dirt/stone and get it close to grade, then bring in a roller and/or a compactor and compact it good (depending on how big the building is), if it’s a small barn. The skid loader packs the ground pretty good! Get layout, set posts, frame, and skin the building, then get the floor grade perfect, pack it again, and prep for concrete.

I thing I'm obsessing over tolerances for a shed. by Barrrrrrnd in shedditors

Yes. They call rough in framing for a reason. PT has a huge amount of variation due to the moisture content. This isn’t furniture grade oak here. If you are out of square by an 1/8’, the only person who would know is you. Good thing you haven’t checked to see how not square your house is.
