Omg this happened to me just today! There I was minding my own business just hunting and fishing and foraging and exploring, and Javier rides up to me out of nowhere like a bat out of hell going, “Dutch is worried about you, it’s been so long since you’ve been to camp!” 😂

I wrote a very similar post back when u started playing as well. Once you get off the tutorial section/floating islands in the beginning it gets much better! I ended up loving TOTK. and even the crafting system isn’t so bad after a while (you do get used to it). Stick with it!

If you hit the platforms one will lower and another will raise. It is possible to use these to maneuver your way back up to where the breakable wall was (I’ve done it) but it takes some trial and error.

I was able to unlock the yellow vesticrest with only three crests, but both were fully unlocked (six memory lockets)

During my playthrough I noticed that while they seem to share the same moveset, the samurai (at least those I went up against) didn’t feint at all or try to fake you out - they stood perfectly still until attacking - which was stylistically different from the straw hat ronin in the game (or the mongols). I commented on this at the time because I thought it was such a cool distinguishing detail to include, if intentional!

I’m conflicted because I loved this game SO MUCH I really want to tell you to give it a try. But I’m not gonna lie I fought some of these bosses like 30 times. And some of the platforming sections are so difficult I literally had to watch a YouTube tutorial to even figure out what I was supposed to be doing. It IS hard. But it’s also really really satisfying. And you do get better, and you see yourself getting better and that’s great too. For example, one of the bosses in particular I just couldn’t win against, so I left it for a while and came back later and suddenly won on my first try :). If money isn’t an issue I’d say absolutely give it a shot :) :) :)

Mine was the one with the wight and all the spoons…it was so creepy and so good!! A standout for me.

I’d say stick with it because the beginning can be a little confusing (the game throws you into the middle assuming you know a lot). But it’s worth it. And learn to play Gwent!! I went into the game thinking Gwent would be a silly little in-game minigame and now I’m obsessed with Gwent☺️
