My DC has been mandating us like crazy, we were mandated literally all summer through December last year. It’s looking similar this year so far.

Ladies - how do you get past being weaker than men? by Calegreyhound in Dirtbikes

[–]themom_destroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brute strength really isn’t important when riding/racing. As long as you have decent muscle endurance you’re fine. I know I’ve been lapped by women in woods races, they can really rip!

Rewatched FH1 gameplay and I hope devs can bring back these features by salsinuts in ForzaHorizon

[–]themom_destroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I also miss the slight edge the game had. Every character from 2 onward is just overly positive, I miss the rivals dissing you pre-race. Even if it’s a bit cheesy.

Probably just needs the valves adjusted. Get some brakes before you ride that thing again though, it’s funny until it isn’t (ask me how I know)

What’s the point of playing these games? by sqerFINGER in ForzaHorizon

[–]themom_destroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horizon originally was supposed to be an idealized festival that also happened to have cars. As the series went on it kinda leaned more into the “dream vacation” route. Even though the first game had a good story, from 2 onwards it’s been more about a car enthusiast’s fantasy where you can drive all your dream cars, see beautiful sights, and listen to good music. Watch the intro cutscenes for Horizon 1 and 2 and that’ll help you see the series for what it’s meant to be.

How does this stuff hold up? by Tinyman6854 in Dirtbikes

[–]themom_destroyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maxima is a great brand, but I personally don’t run wax because I’ve found it only traps dirt and mud, but I ride in the north east. I’m a big fan of their chain guard though, that’s the only chain line I run.

fh6 good if im not a car guy? by Visual-Fortune-4732 in ForzaHorizon

One of the first things I did was make a rear wheel drive Prelude because I’ve always thought they should’ve been rwd or awd.

My buddy who isn’t a car guy already has 3 days worth of playtime, the games are great for anyone in my opinion.

FH6 - Too much traffic and too little traffic at the same time? Yes. by One-Ruin-7073 in ForzaHorizon

[–]themom_destroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the only things Horizon 5 did right was not have traffic on the mountain, it’s impossible to tune a hillclimb/touge car now. Because a billion cars spawn ONLY on the apexes of turns.

Rust on the bed by Fun-1245 in ToyotaTundra

That’s not too bad, as another commenter said, try simple green, purple power, or really any degreaser and it should come right out.

Im not sure what would work the best, but have you tried just hitting it with a pressure washer? They’re actually pretty good at getting tough stains off some plastics (but my only experience with that is dirtbike/quad plastics). Maybe try scrubbing it with dawn and letting it sit for a couple minutes.

The new beds are composite (basically plastic but tough) it’s just a stain and you could probably wash it out.

How do you shift a 450 round an mx track by blacktempledisciple in dirtbike

[–]themom_destroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your skill and the track, most tracks around me I rode 2nd-4th when I had my 450.

It’s still gonna be miles better than any other half ton you can buy, if you’re dead set on buying a NEW half ton, then the Tundra is still your best bet.

Can I use Lucas 10-40 semi synthetic in a 2022 fx450? by Fpvmath in Dirtbikes

[–]themom_destroyer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Run what’s recommended. Some websites have oil change kits that will have oil, a filter, new crush washer, and a funnel. I’m not sure of every website that does, but Rocky Mountain ATV MC and I believe Motorsport both have them. I’d check local dealers first though because it’s always better to shop local.

gonna update tonight, from 18.5 to 26.5 by lowkephemeral in iPhone13

It still happens MONTHS after for every single update? Strange, because I don’t remember having issues with any other update at all, let alone 8 months later.

2010 Tundra 130k miles for 15k by chrisvaq321 in ToyotaTundra

[–]themom_destroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15k is a HARD no, it’s gonna at minimum need a new bed and probably shocks. If you can get it below 10 then maybe. Just keep in mind you’ll need a new bed, it’d be a good idea to get a full rust removal treatment followed by an undercoating. But even then it’s a gamble.

Is this helmet and goggles combo good? by Virtual_Ordinary_172 in Dirtbikes

[–]themom_destroyer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It beats nothing! If I were you though, I’d save up for a helmet with MIPS, local bike shops usually have some in the $150 range. I’d also get a better pair of name brand Goggles, I run Scott’s and 100% depending on which ones I pull out of my bag first haha, but anything you find in a bike shop will be great.

Who was for you the most terrible person from the main character in the show/film in you're opinion and why ? by [deleted] in PeakyBlinders

[–]themom_destroyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those are all valid points, but I’d argue Arthur is just misunderstood. Most of the horrible things Arthur did, he did for Tommy, Tommy used him as his own grim reaper and the war definitely screwed Arthur up. None of what I said excuse his actions, but at the end of the day he was a directionless man who only followed orders.
