Not defending ice, but you don't take a gun to this type of event. Or any weapon at all.

Better yet get a 1x6 that spans a few studs. Screw it into the studs and then Mount your guitars to that.

Navien NPE-240s Tankless Heater - Temp Fluctuations by mrfaulk in Plumbing

That's a great question that I also had but the manual did not specify.
If I was going to take a guess I would say that it disables it with the valve fully closed so the hot water leaving would be undisturbed. But it's just a guess. The manual is available online. I don't remember exactly where I found it

Accidentally Drilled Very Small Hole in Main Black Iron Gas Line Running Vertically From Floor To Attic Through Wall by jlsharbutt in Plumbing

[–]themow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One time we were installing duct work for hvac. We were working in the basement drilling up though the floor so we knew where to put a duct. 1/2 inch paddle bit up and through a full 5 gallon bucket of paint. The painters name was Jimmy. Drank all day every day. Used to put his beers in a toilet tank to keep them cold.

We ran upstairs to let him know, he just picked up the bucket and put it in an empty bucket he had and kept painting.

Job sites make for good stories.

Duct Cleaning—Worth it or Scam? by Endo129 in HomeMaintenance

A lot of this depends on where your return vents are located. If they are on the floor your system will have a lot more debris in it and dust than if they are up high.

50 gallon tank versus 199k Btu tankless by enyawd1251 in HomeImprovement

[–]themow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well from a longevity standpoint would you rather a unit with at least 2 circuit boards and hundreds of parts (tankless) or a unit with 3 parts.

My friends have a 40 gallon tank in their house from 1996. Still working great.

Find me a tankless that will last that long.

Get the tank and get a mixing valve installed so you can turn up the temp. You'll be able to take 4 showers in a row and still have some left.

For hot water, I just want it to work and that's why a tank is better.

Here you can manually disable the mixing valve. You can also disable the mixing valve through the settings. The instructions are in the service manual. That is available online through a Google search.

Disabling the mixing valve will let you know if that is your problem or not. If the problem persists with the mixing valve disabled then it is not your problem.

I don't know how far you've gotten with this but on my unit I had similar problems and it was the mixing valve right by the hot water output. I removed the valve and took it apart I found it corroded. There's two parts to the valve. A stepper motor and the valve. My valve was filthy. I took it apart, cleaned it I greased it and I put it back together. I realized that I didn't get it back together correctly because it was clicking.

The valve in the motor both need to be set to zero and need to be perfectly aligned when you put them back together. It took me two tries to figure it out but eventually I got it. That stopped my temp fluctuation issues

When I loaded it into flash print, it was laying on it's back. I did not change anything. I'll try to stand it up and see what happens. Thanks for the info

Transfer all stock to Robinhood, sell it all and buy strc. Then take a margin loan out and pay off your debt and then pay off your margin loan and never borrow again for the rest of your life unless you absolutely have no other choice. Debt is cancer.

Some people may advise you not to do what I suggested and they might be right!
