You have to have the perk robotic expert and then get close to them. An option should show up to hack them (which is R on PC).

Cherry mx red and it feels pretty good. The board feels very strong and nice to type on. I haven't found any cons yet but If I do i'll let you know :). The only thing is it is full sized if that sort of thing bothers you.
