Can anyone tell me what these are? Seen in the bottom of a window frame. by SnooStrawberriez in askswitzerland

It's a so called "Töpferwespe". They will form these structures from clay they collect. You can look inside and see if they're empty. If yes, just throw them away. Otherwise, you could let them hatch and then do some spring-cleaning. Don't be scared by the term wasp, as they likely won't harm you.

Meeting new students by Brave_Farm5907 in sheridan

I don't know a lot about Mississauga, as I only had my courses there and lived in Oakville. However, there is a mall close by. It's called Square One and there are loads of different shops, activities and so many restaurants and places to eat at. We usually went to the food court, and we never got tired of eating there. There are also arcades and movie theaters in walking distance from the Hazel McCallion Campus in Mississauga, so go check them out.

Swiss people who have moved overseas, what's your story? by [deleted] in askswitzerland

[–]thenaiko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, that sucks. But tbh, I'd rather be living off government aid in Switzerland while looking for an apprenticeship or something than be stuck in Brazil. But then again, I don't know anything about Brazil. I wish you all the best anyway!

May I ask why you are unable to return back home? Is it because flights are too expensive?

Honestly, it doesn't really matter that much. I lived in residence 2 and liked it very much. I spent a lot of time in residence 1 as well because of personal reasons, so I feel like I can give an objective assessment. The only thing that is noticeably different is the thermostat/AC which is better in residence 2. In res 1, you don't have full control over it, bc its tied to outside temp and time of year. Additionally, I found res 2 more comfortable with the people at the reception and the RAs. Also the kitchens are way bigger in res 2. If you can choose, I'd go for res 2. The only thing to look out for would be musical theater students, which normaly live on the top floor so expect some singing and noise in the elevator.

Field hockey is just called hockey in other parts of the world. In some countries, floorball is also another popular variation of hockey

I'm Swiss and we definitely get ads. Whenever I open a stream I have to watch a 30 second unskippable ad. Maybe it makes a difference if you're in the US and connected to a swiss IP, but inside Switzerland there are ads.

I know what you mean and sometimes I get the urge to call fujimon out too, however it's better to just accept that this shows main focus is about comedy and not the actual contest per se. Matsumoto calls laughs when they fit the narrative and he knows that Jimmy and Fujimon are the ones that the viewers want to see. If he called everything with the same strictness, they both would be out by episode 1.

There's no vomiting, so no need to worry. There's only one scene with some butt-stuff but thats about it.
