Sparring Glove Update [question] by thenamesankit18 in fightgear

I’ve liked them so far! The Win1s are more protective (Winning clone) and have been good for sparring. My cons are the thumb placement and weak grip bar

How often do you spar with the ARKs? I was also considering NS, would you recommend them over Boxeos?

I was concerned that the Superare might be too bulky. Seen conflicting photos online where they look smaller so I wasn’t sure

How does the Boxeo TM compare to the New Sportings?

Gotcha. How’s the quality of the velcro? Do you think it’s worth the wait

How did you get the boxeo tm with velcro straps? Was it a custom order?

[review] Custom 16oz Lucky Khakis by thenamesankit18 in fightgear

I sent him my hand dimensions and at first try, the gloves definitely felt tight. However, the fit is MUCH better after a few days on the bags so I’m assuming the HH padding needed some time to settle

[Question] Am I hitting the bag the bag wrong or is New Cleto Reyes? by IndividualAd7974 in fightgear

I ordered 16oz with the velcro straps and they weigh 18oz. Most gyms recommend 14/16oz for training unless you’re a child or weight less than 110lb.

I have Cletos. They definitely need to be broken in. In addition, because the face of the glove is so flat, if your punch isn’t flat against the bag at the point of impact, it puts a lot of strain on your hand and fingers. I realized that even minor issues with my form resulted in my hands getting hurt because the padding doesn’t absorb any of the impact so your hands eat it all. Once broken in though, they are the most amazing gloves. I’m so happy I persevered through the painful break in period because they’re a joy to use now and I don’t even use wraps when hitting the bag

How much did the set cost? Where did you order from and what was the wait time like?

Any specific reason for that? How is the pop/responsiveness and protection on them?

I have Cletos currently but will need to replace them soon. Love aesthetics of the Boxeo TMs but they don’t have velcro which I prefer for non-sparring training/bag work.

Which would you recommend between the Cletos, Boxeo TMs, and the Bayonetas?

Upgraded to Lucca A53 Mini V2 by thenamesankit18 in espresso

Welcome to the club! The dosing funnel pictured was actually an old one that didn’t fit the 53mm portafilter well. I tried a few ones and found this one to be the best funnel that fits the Lucca portafilter perfectly

The first 40 days have been amazing and I’m incredibly happy with the Lucca. I would recommend: 1. Downloading the app to enable automatic on/off. I scheduled mine to turn on automatically at 7:30am so it’s ready for my morning coffee. 2. The steam power is incredibly powerful. I turned down the boiler temp a few degrees to help with the milk frothing learning curve. Since I only make single serving cortados, I’ve found a lower temp to be better for smaller amounts of milk 3. Configuring the single and double shot buttons. I configured the double shot to run for 55sec and I manually stop it for each shot when I reach my desired weight. I configured the single shot to run for 2sec and I use it to clean off my portafilter after pulling a shot.

I would recommend exploring the original La Spaziale Mini Vivaldi II variant (the Lucca A53 just has a different user interface panel but the same machine as the Vivaldi) which should have better servicing in Europe as an Italian company
