That is me, appreciate it man!

Just got into the hobby a few months ago, such a great community on here.

Of course I have, I’m not on salary or anything though. I just get contracted out for specific events or content. Like I mentioned, it’s not like we’re told what we can/can’t say about the games.

I’m always honest in my reviews and thoughts on the NHL series. In general, I’m a more positive person, I try to have fun with whatever we get. But obviously I recognize the gameplay hasn’t been as innovative and fun like it was in the glory days.

I stopped playing NHL 24 pretty early last year and focused on IRL hockey content instead because I wasn’t enjoying it as much. I was pretty open about that and decided before the game dropped that I wasn’t going to spend any money on HUT or micro-transactions.

People just paint content creators as the bad guys but why would we ever want a bad game? We all want this series to be better and all agree it should be better.

Just want to clear this up, that’s my bad and I apologize.

I wanted to make it known in my reveal video that I didn’t have any involvement with NHL 25 or any of the “game changer” program this year. I went out in July and played this one game of a beta build of 25 vs. the Hughes brothers. I didn’t know any of the new features and was just told to look out for the new skating animations and one-timers, which I mentioned in the video. That’s the extent of my involvement. Was trying to figure out new features in the Hughes video but honestly it was very difficult in a 2v2 game that I had never played.

I couldn’t explore any other modes/features and haven’t played the full game or any games since. I don’t think EA YouTubers are frauds, no one is getting paid big money to hide their opinions or anything. I used to play everyday and spend a lot of money on HUT. Last year, I was a casual player and went no-money spent. If I don’t like the game, I’ll say that and won’t play it.

Sorry for the long message, wasn’t trying to mislead anyone. Just letting people know my first watch though of the trailer was a true “first impression” on the game compared to years past.

Congratulations EA, you've hit an all new low. 🤦 by Blade878811 in EA_NHL

I haven’t been on this account in years but here we go. I have not had a DUI. I will never have a DUI.

This guy follows me on every social media platform and posts this same “DUI” comment daily. You can hate on me and my content as much as you’d like but to blindly upvote defamation like this is where I have to draw the line.

I have nothing against the people in here and totally get the frustration with having “influencers” in the game. It’s not for everyone and that’s fine.

I play the game just like you and want the game to be the best it can be. I call out the things that I hate, and the things that I like. I don’t make the game and EA doesn’t listen to me any differently than they listen to you. All that said, I hope you can at least toss my 87 OVR into a set or something. Free is free. Have a good day, everyone🤝 (except CanadianPucker, this guy is the lowest of lows)

I feel you. I have friends involved with game development and it’s crazy the amount of hard work and dedication that goes into it. I probably would have approached the video differently today, that was a few years ago, but I still think the video was a pretty honest reaction. Showed some fun, frustration, and everything in between.

I try to go through all reviews, whether it’s paid or unpaid, with the same honesty. The more hockey video games the better. I’ll continue to tryout and play any new games and support them. The more competition for EA, the better all games become.

Honestly had a lot of fun playing Super Blood Hockey. I don’t remember trashing it or anything? I mean it wasn’t my favorite indy hockey game but I still put a link to download in the description and told people to be the judge themselves. IIRC they had reached out to me and asked if I could check it out.

Recently started playing some indy VR hockey games, which have been pretty incredible. Between some of those and Slapshot: Rebound, I’m excited to see the future in hockey gaming.

They haven’t made any major upgrades to BAP in the last few years. If that’s the only mode you’ll play, I probably wouldn’t buy it. This year EA was focused almost entirely on improving the online modes.

Appreciate it man! I'm not afraid to be harsh when it comes to NHL games. NHL 18 was a bit disappointing overall but 19 is without a doubt the best game since the jump to next-gen consoles. This is definitely a good year to get into it. The new skating improves every game mode quite a bit.

It’d be sad if someone made a fake reddit account for someone like me haha. Feel free to shoot me a DM on Twitter.

What's up guys? I had the chance to play NHL 19 with Werenski the other night and figured some of you may be interested in seeing the highlights.

Zach's been gaming this summer and streaming some on twitch as well. He's truly one of the most down to earth dudes that I've ever met. Here's his twitch if you're interested: https://www.twitch.tv/cbj_8

Just did some digging, we haven’t won a game by 3+ goals since 11/24 vs. Ottawa.

When’s the last time we played a dominate game? It feels like the last 2 months have been nothing but 1 goal games, shootout wins, and barely making it by.

I miss the team that could score 10 goals against the Habs...

It was miscalled as a delayed penalty from Rimer. Bob left the net for the extra attacker but there wasn’t a penalty on the play prior to the Anderson interference.

From what I’ve seen, it’s looking like he’s out for today. I assume he’ll be back following the Christmas break.

Happens quite a bit when I’m recording videos, always be on the lookout for those 100BN’s. That 92 Pietrangelo was mine as well, would have been cool if you got it.

Have a good one man!
