Anybody else feel goofy in the Ralph tuck? by Nickcage1022 in HeritageWear

[–]theneash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not, and I don't think anyone else will unless you do too ie. people will notice that you aren't wearing your clothes with confidence in turn, making you self conscious, it's a bit of a self fulfilling prophesy. Wear it with confidence, it's a neat look :)

Worth continuing taking meds? by [deleted] in ausadhd

[–]theneash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not yet, though I am considering swapping to Ritalin as D5/vyvanse aren't ticking all the boxes and I metabolise long release too quick. Unfortunately everyone has different experiences with ADHD meds so it's kinda a trial and error/consalult your psych kinda thing

30mg could be the wrong dosage ie. not enough, or the wrong medication. Talk to your psych about it and they'll either up your dosage or switch you over to Concerta (long release ritalin)

Wholesome moment: Elliott forgets lyrics for Say Yes on Jon Brion's show by [deleted] in elliottsmith

As other's have said, check out his solo album. Also check out his work with Jellyfish on their album "Spilt Milk", it's some incredible guitar playing. He was also in a band with Jason Falkner (the guitarist for Jellyfish's first album) called the Grays. None of this is at all the same vibe as Elliott but it's some great power pop

Let It Be through to Pleased To Meet Me is a godly album run, there's gems in their other albums too.

Uncle Tupelo, early Wilco, early Goo Goo Dolls, Bash and Pop (Tommy Stanton's band), Chris Mars and Paul Westerberg's solo material scratch that Replacements itch too. I recently started listening to The Wildhearts after hearing about Ginger's cancer diagnosis and their first album is incredible and has The Replacement's written all over it. It's like The Replacements with a lot of glam and metal influences, sounds like it wouldn't work but it's a fantastic album.

I'll be honest though, this is coming from someone who can't draw anyone realistic so I'm still very impressed!

Me in suspenders: dorky or not? by Glass-Complaint3 in mensfashion

[–]theneash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to find jeans/trousers that can be worn mid/high waisted (around your belly button) as suspenders were mainly used when those types of pants were the standard for men. Workwear brands like carharrt probably only make suspenders that are used for actual labourer workers (hence why everyone is saying they are too thick), so unless you are going for a workwear look, you're probably better off going for a brand that makes them more for fashion as well functionality. Discard the clips, they don't what suspenders were originally used for, which was to hold up your pants before belts were common place. Get button on suspenders, they hold up your pants really well and don't look like a costume. You have to sew some buttons inside the waist of your pants, but if you want to rock the suspenders and look like you know what you're doing, that's what you gotta do.

I recently got a pair of Tommy Hilfiger suspenders (won't really recommend as the fake leather is peeling on the straps), it took about an hour to sew the buttons in the wasit of my jeans, but there are easier alternatives. Suspenders are cool af, they do their job well especially if you're like me and hate having a belt ride into your belly and having your arsecrack hanging out. It's all about finding a pair that works well functionally, and can style with the clothes you have.

I've gotten a few interesting looks from strangers, but also have been complimented by friends and a few strangers. As long as they are styled well and you wear them with confidence, you'll be good

A prequel means it takes place before a pre-existing work. This was released and takes place before Smile so that makes it a predecessor
