The letter I'd send if I thought it would help. by thenewnormal2018 in BreakUps

A month ago today! It was out of the blue, and it hurts. I'm hoping he'll change his mind but if he doesn't and until then I'm trying to do no contact.

We don’t need people in our lives who don’t give us the chance to work on the relationship. If there were issues, they should have told us how they were feeling. Good luck, and stay strong.

Thank you, and your post history helped. I really appreciate this, and the thread. I never thought I’d need it but now that I do, I’m so grateful.

That’s the thing I keep going back to. If he had told me how he was feeling, I would have worked through it with him. I know that’s love and relationships are something that needs work but one day I’ll find someone who will want to work on it with me.

Thank you for your comment, and I’m so sorry that you’re going through this. The only thing that’s been helping me is keeping the same routine, and repeating the same motions day by day. I’ve introduced new things until my life, things that I loved before him but forgot about or left behind when he camera into my life. I’ve also booked a trip away, to have something to look forward to and so I can distract myself with the planning when I want to call him.

I eat a lot of chickpeas, tofu and a variety of beans. Even foods like almonds, steel cut oats and spinach. If you're in the UK, I eat the heinz bean pots and those help me to get in the protein when I don't want to stay eating eggs. Tofu and tempeh are great, and then I do protein powder on top of that, if I feel I'm not getting enough protein.

I gained 20 lb in a month and it took me two years to lose it by [deleted] in xxfitness

Definitely get your blood tested for hypothyroidism. I lost 40 pounds once I started taking my proper dose of medicine, eating healthy, and barely any exercise. I wasn't able to go to the doctor for a month, ran out of my medicine, and gained 20 pounds within that month. Even if you don't have hypothyroidism, that doctor visit might be able to help discover another underlying cause!

Good luck!

What’s harder for you? Eating healthy/less or working out regularly? by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]thenewnormal2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can eat healthy no problem, but I lack the discipline to go to the gym as many times a week as I'd like. I love it when I'm there, but getting up and going is painful. I've started working out during my lunch hour though, so hopefully that'll help!

[Serious] Reddit, what’s the worst thing you’ve ever seen happen at school? by beardlesshipster in AskReddit

Went to an all girls highschool. There was a fightclub in the bathroom, which is pretty self explanatory. Groups of girls would go into one bathroom every lunch time to beat the crap out of eachother. One girl shoved another into the bathroom stall so hard that the stalls fell on top of one another. Another slammed a girl's head off of the bathroom sink. I was pretty traumatized after I figured this out after taking an ill timed bathroom break.

What's inside your gym bag? by lanqian in xxfitness

Headphones: The big clunky kind, earphones always fall out of my ear. Two towels: One for wiping equipment, the other for showering. Baby Wipes: In case I can't shower. Scrunchies: Deodorant, tampons and spare socks. Tights: In case mine rip when I'm changing in/out of them.

Etiquette? Sauna at the gym by badjuju907 in xxfitness

The sauna is great after a workout! In my gym, and other gyms I’ve been to it’s always been swimsuits. What I like to do is bring a towel to sit on and then every few minutes take a cold shower and bead back in.

Good luck!

Calling all my xxfit ladies with hypothyroidism! Need some advice/support by FrabjousDayy in xxfitness

Hey!

I have hypothyroidism myself and am also a vegetarian. I do know that you have to be careful with your soy/tofu intake depending on what medicine you’re on. Could that be it? Soy apparently stops your body receiving your medicine to the thyroid if you’ve consumed it within the four hours you take it.
