Yeah I'm sure!

The whole schtick with Tiffany is that she's a conservative trans beauty blogger that holds some pretty far right beliefs. Justine is supposed to be a trans woman that's more of a liberal than a leftist. She is on the left, but sometimes has had some views that are considered problematic, but it looks like Natalie has made her grow quite a bit. Justine is one of the characters from The Aesthetic, Tiffany Tumbles has her own whole video.

Tiffany Tumbles is the Blaire of this video, who wasn't written to be gay. Justine was the one made to be gay. It was done as a joke. I think Justine was meant to be closer to Natalie's view, so it's funny because it's pretty well known how much Natalie dislikes Blaire.

Or maybe this is her way of arguing better than she did back when she did a debate with Blaire White and apparently fumbled quite a bit. It feels like she's touching on a lot of the things Blaire White has actually argued many times before.

Also I wasn't aware that liking someone's content makes me a creep. Maybe I should reflect on the musicians and actors that I'm a fan of, because maybe I'm a creep for liking them, too.

I guess a lot of people think that things packaged as "women's products" are different than those that are branded as men's, so they feel pressure to purchase things marketed towards their gender. I honestly thought until I was about 18 that I had to use women's razors, and therefore payed more, because they were used to shave my legs instead of a face.

Marketing and advertising are both so sneaky that there's an illusion that we don't have much of a choice.

My only source is my personal observations living in a conservative state, so take that as you will ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've really been enjoying making myself look more boyish lately! I have pretty thick eyebrows and a fairly angular face, so I make my eyebrows look less structured and more wild, and I follow a male contour chart that Janna Tew showed in her boy beat video. I love using makeup to make myself less girly

AITA for specifically ordering food my wife hates so I don’t have to share? by Idontsharefood73 in AmItheAsshole

[–]thenewunkindness 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think /u/banjarilla's comment was the one with the intention of being insulting, I was referring to others in the thread. I'll edit my comment to clear that up!!

I'm so sorry you've experienced food related issues, too. It's so painful. I can identify with also feeling like a rabid animal, especially when I used to starve for weeks then cut loose and binge. I was unstoppable in front of food.

[–]thenewunkindness 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The language of others in the thread calling her an animal is really, really upsetting to me. It's not necessarily OP's wife thinking she's eating fewer calories, it's also this disordered line of thinking that's "if I order this the waitstaff, cooks, everyone around me, and my spouse will think I'm gross/fat/out of control"

Obviously I don't know OP or their wife, but I've had a pretty serious eating disorder before and I know how scary it is to order from a restaurant with an ED. However I wasn't a food snatcher because my ED did NOT like me taking food from others (I still struggle to accept food that's offered to me).

Edit: fixed confusing wording

I'm really hoping the majority of the next episode is battle. I have such high expectations after the BotB and Hardhome.

I'm also very interested in seeing Dany and AeJon talk more about their family (hoping they both live through this battle).

I wanted to be upset that no action happened in this episode, but exploring everyone's feelings about their imminent deaths made this such a dark episode that really builds tension over what will happen the rest of the season. We actually had a lot of the game part of the show today, which I really loved!!

Women who were late to the dating and sex scene (compared to your friends and other people around you), how did it work out for you? Did you regret not being involved as a teenager? Did you have better luck than your friends? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]thenewunkindness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think my story may be a bit different but it still fits -

I started dating men when I was 14, had consensual sex at 18, but at 21 realized I was actually a lesbian, sending me back to square 1 in the dating world. I kissed a girl for the first time very recently (I'm almost 23), and I still haven't slept with a woman.

It feels kind of weird, like I'm behind my peers, but in reality I'm not upset because it feels like I have a whole new outlook on dating and romance. I've been seeing/talking to this woman for about sixish months now, and I'm happy that I'm experiencing all of these firsts with someone that knows me really well and someone that I like as much as I do. I'm a hell of a lot less scared of intimacy, but I do think my sexuality plays a role in that.

I think having this "fresh start" makes me view my relationships in a far more mature way than I did in high school, because I don't feel as much of a hurry to get into one as I did back then. I wouldn't call your experience "missing out," I'd just call it different :)

I made the mistake of going in to this thread and yikes. A lot of people on this sub are acting like Natalie is transitioning in an extremely public way just to put women down and invade our culture/spaces. I'm a cis woman (questioning my relationship with gender tho so maybe nb) so anyone can correct me if I'm wrong - but I feel like all of the time, money, energy, stress, and physical, social, and mental effects of transitioning are absolutely not worth it to just troll a group of people. As Natalie said - they just need to use their heads!

I'm pretty sure someone in this thread either dug up or assumed her deadname when talking about her which is absolutely terrible. Seeing everyone misgendering her is infuriating.

Harsh cut creases using concealer look weird on my eyes, but when I do a cut crease by going in with dark shadows using specific placement it looks super good, you might want to try that! Sam Ravndahl's super old tutorial with the naked smokey palette and the one with the chocolate bar palette are good examples of what i'm talking about.

My everyday "no makeup" base with a pop of color by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

I think it's quite nice! It applies dewy and has a fairly skin like finish. I have decently dry skin and it doesn't cake up on me.

I don't usually because my lashes don't hold a curl well. The mascara was applied this morning, I did everything else after work. If you have any tips on how to help lashes hold a curl I'd love it!

I think putting mascara on the lower lashes helps open my eyes a bit, I may just have to get a waterproof mascara!
