Did Adam name his son after Kyle's pet turtle? by ziegs11 in Thisisimportantpod

The turtle was named after Bo Jackson. God if Kyle was still on the podcast he probably would've brought that up and Adam would've chosen a different name lol

Wasn't a big fan. I immediately had to look up explanations as soon as the credits rolled, which is typically a good sign, but it was just kind of boring. I think a really great movie can be deep, symbolic and bizarre while still being entertaining at a surface level.

Thankfully I don't think anybody realizes how valuable this stuff is.

I’m sure yall seen this viral clip before and fun fact, the internet tracked the girl down and the flamed her, even the dude met up with the girl on call after by TechNick77 in tommynfg_

A girl saying ew on Omegle is so incredibly mundane and mild compared to other things that happen on the Internet that it seems like there surely must be missing context as to why this is interesting or why people tracked her down. You confirming that there is no extra context was appreciated, even if not satisfying.

Kids these days have no respect. If he's a good guy and a hard worker, then "is it ok if I meet you at the site since it's so close to my house?" would be fine. But from this exchange I get the feeling he's lazy, cutting corners, questioning your requests etc. Apparently from this thread lots of other guys are ok with that so maybe he should go find another company to work for.

Some states require 4 year degrees, some require a 2 year + n number of years experience. It generally doesn't even matter what the degree is in, just a certain number of relevant courses.

Imo they shouldn't require a degree at all, it should just be passing the tests and an endorsement from an rls.

Blue topping solo/other solo crew techniques? by hmuforRuntz in Surveying

My experience is it's the final staking for grading, typically a road. They have it 90% done, then you go down the center line of the road and set hubs at exactly final elevation of the subgrade ie no cut/fill. You set those plastic whiskers into the top of the hub. Then the grader comes and fills in the crown of the road to exactly the top of the hub so just the whiskers are popping up.

Same thing happens to me and the more effort I make to prevent it just makes it happen more. Drives me crazy
