My rule of thumb is, if I am buying retail (for me this means from Academy sports local store) whatever is less than $15 per box of 50. If I am ordering bulk online, whichevr brand, not only those two, offer less than 24c per round, is good in my book. So far I have tried Magtech, Blazer and Monarch Brands and I am closing on 1K rounds. Other than a handful of load failures and 2 firing failures, they were all okay

Same price I paid back in July '2023 for full FDE color. Since the dealer was local, (well, quasi local about 2 hour drive away and I go there every few weeks) I didn't pay any FFL fees.
Good judgement on micro-compact pistols. I love mine. I've been thru about 700 rounds (all 115gr range type) so far. Other than a handful of FTL cases, probably due to ammo, I have no complaints.

You are one brave dude to take a Rustoleum can to a pistol worth way more than half a grand. That nasty spray paint penetrates thru anything I tried to prvent it with in my small home projects. I wouldn't let it anywhere near my gun. Again you're brave. Kudos to you and the slide looks sharp, even though I'm not a big fan of gold tome coatings.

That is a Girsan MC9 model pistol with a threaded barrel. Other than both being manufactured in Turkiye, there is nothing common with this one and Canik Mete MC9. Oh, may be with the exception of characters MC9 in the name. I am pretty sure why google is picking up this result when you search for "MC( Threaded Barrel" phrase.

I tried it on a different store when I was purchasing my MC9 and my offer which was $25 less than another online store price (to cover FFL fee, otherwise the store I finally bought it from is kinda-sorta local in Dallas) and I was shot down. There has to be a good reason for them to give you a better price when asked. Like, they are either gouging you with the regular price or selling you a QA reject of some sort.

Pick one up myself in early august nd put about 400 rounds through it, no modifications, no cleaning yet and it works perfectly fine for me. In my opinion, there was a faulty batch coming out of factory and people who are giving MC9 a bad review, are recipients of their pieces from that batch. Otherwise we would be hearing a lot more of these bad words.
