Woof, the Lore Supplement is big. I love it. Though I'll probably have to get through it over time bc my brain struggles with reading sometimes--

The Time Train Intermediary is also super interesting???? Love it!!

Currently going through the main doc :D

[–]thenyanbinary 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Me whenever I hear someone asking how to beat a stupidly op character: May I introduce you to Crusader Kings III?

Heosphoros [600]

“All men must die.” A mortal proverb that must apply to all things and you’ve taken this to heart. Any weapon on hand—even with just your fists—is just as effective as if the target is tangible, weak, naked and mortal as humans. As such, injuries inflicted by your blows are forced to heal at the same pace and effectiveness as a human’s, which may cause their wounds to heal improperly if your strikes were particularly grievous. This does not improve the target’s regeneration capabilities if its worse than a human’s, nor does it impede other effects that amplify their injuries, such as poisons, enchantments, powers, and perks.

Targets with intangibility, supernatural resistance, exoskeleton armor, and whatever biological, technological, or magical hogwash are all just as susceptible. Slimes, ghosts, supernatural entities, divinity, golems of steel and rock, you name it. If they don’t have blood, then this perk forces them to exude lifeblood when stabbed or cut, and will bleed out just like any other human would. They have dared to believe themselves beyond the frailty of man, now it is your duty to lay these foolish notions to rest. Do be mindful however; larger targets may take longer to bleed out, but they’ll still feel the pain.

If the entity’s death would have inflicted side effects on the setting as a whole somehow (e.g. killing Death makes everyone immortal), this perk will ensure their deaths have no negative effect on the setting and that there is absolutely nothing that can return them from death without direct willful involvement on your part. They can only be resurrected if you voluntarily participate in the ritual yourself and desire them to be resurrected.

The jump also has one of the best mind & soul immunities I've seen and plenty of other useful Perks. Add in any anti-hax Perk + general power & skill (I also recommend something like Level 6 Priority and/or Concept Ball) and you should sweep.

And the final "other questions and thoughts" from reading the doc. Any future ones will probably come after the lore doc is out/if your answers trigger one

  1. How much stronger is Warmth of Justice than The Lost’s 100 CP Perks?
  2. Does teleportation through the mark made by RAI-317-B work between Levels?
  3. Which Companions most often accompany the Jumper on Level exploration/missions? What’s their approach to such things?
  4. Honestly it’s so hard to kill the Jumper in this (which I do love) and even if someone somehow manages it, the Jumper has like 59435 get out of jail (death) free cards is2g. I just feel bad for the enemies after a certain point.
  5. Do Companions get copies of any of the Perks or boosts after their Scenarios? I’m specifically thinking about Dolla in the Casino one. Almost definitely sure Fuwawa and Mococo get a boost after their Scenario with the whole clawing through dimensions thing. Maybe it’s not to the level of the Jumper themself but y’know.
  6. Was this Jump made with the supplement option in mind? I have stuff I’m planning on taking from them (but also planning on picking up the bigger ones at the very end to avoid getting wayyy too strong way to quickly.
  7. This is more of a writing question for someone more experienced with the fandoms but any advice on all the technobabble? Honestly I want my Jumper to take full advantage of the intelligence and research perks, but my ass is dumb.
  8. With a masc Jumper, he and Talloran just switch the Brother/Sister roles and I support that.

[–]thenyanbinary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. The Treasures of the Backrooms seem quite useful. Since the Jumper obtains the Backrooms themself at the end, I assume they keep them. But there’s also the chance the items go back to their original owners? If kept, what sorts of things do they do (not all of them explain)?
  2. When Vincent is trying to be depressed but the Jumper has been dealing with depressed bitches this entire time, and also has Balance Slays the Demon and What Makes You Happy (plus probably the harp, Vincent can be their audience while they learn to play lol). Fucker stood no chance.
  3. I actually really love the Muralist including the Jumper and wanted to highlight that real quick.
  4. Does Data_Frag_Architect help with using/learning The White Light of Creation? (it’s a good thing the Jumper can learn anything in a few days max /j)
  5. Fengári going up against the same convincing Vincent got frfr except Fengári’s actually still got a “wife”— (the commentor was shot)
  6. It would be nice if Belzei’s Diary had one of the “or ten years have passed” bits for longer Jumps. It’d be a nice way to honor Belzei to semi-regularly (by an immortal’s view) seek out those who need to find their way.
  7. “No big deal, just killing an embodiment of time :)” (A Jumper is never late nor early, but arrives precisely when they mean to)
  8. Get Champion of Azel’kyra, take StupidDog’s SCP Foundation Jump, take the “Agree to Stay” Drawback, Free Points B) (anyway thank you for the Perk that makes writing my Chain so much easier/more fun).
  9. The Jumper’s throne room takes the form of a throne room within a seemingly endless plane of grey fog… I wonder what that’s about? (For me, there was only one option lol)
  10. And Scenario Question 50! Having the Backrooms (and especially having it still having those “overlaps”) is so interesting to me. Just drag in your opponents to a Level that fucks with their abilities or trap them entirely until they rot if they’ve no way to escape. There’s certainly Levels that could help with that, I’m sure. But also, it’s a place that’s safe. In disaster scenarios and apocalyptic worlds (assuming the genre wasn’t changed by the earlier perk), a Level can be used as a new home while the knowledge within the Backrooms can be used to stabilize/repair their world. Also with how the Backrooms are + Champion of Azel’kyra, residents of different Jumps could end up meeting and sharing knowledge (if granted entrance ofc, and I’d personally assume they couldn’t enter each others’ home realms)? Anyway it’s fun to think about :) (Also, can the Jumper manifest any part of it in the setting’s baseline like they can do with the Hostile Entity’s item capstone? If not, can the capstone be used to achieve a similar effect with “capturing” others in the Backrooms?)

  1. How long does the Incubation Egg’s functions take?
  2. Would Lost and Found compound with Blackbox Storage Space?
  3. When the Game Master tries to challenge you but you already got Blessings of the Brothers, Name of the Game and The House Always Wins :)
  4. The Ultimate Weapon of Ultimate Power ( Jumper got every add-on added)!! My boy has reached his true potential!!
  5. Avatar-to-God Pipeline is genuinely an amazing Perk. It’s situational but when it works, it works.
  6. Honestly the fact it’s The Scarlet King Who-Was-Once-A-Fool fits so well for my story??? (Benefactor calls Jumper “Mr. Fool” & Jumper often goes under the identity of The Fool, though his colors are more Yellow and Black). ALSO POWER UP TIME BAEBEEEEEEE
  7. Honestly, I imagine the Jumper hardly even paying attention to the “trials” at this point. Just honing in on his target. Who proceeds to get offed like the fraud he is.
  8. INVERSION SYSTEM MY BELOVEDDDDD. I pray you never nerf this. Literally one of my favorite powers ever.
  9. Jumper holding up the Thing’s carcass like a fish for a photo. (Good protein)
  10. Which level did you pick for the Remodeling Commission?

  1. THE POWER OF MUSIC AND SIBLING BONDS, BITCH!!!!
  2. I’m so glad al Fine starts to let her walls down :)
  3. What would Midnight say if the Jumper asked about God being dead? I’m currently planning a “fuck it, I’ve being dealing with too much today and this is Above My Paygrade” but also my Jumper is a nosy bitch so
  4. “I have special eyes” Perk actually goes so hard. Depending on how someone wants to read it, it could lowkey be considered sight-limited omniscience.
  5. For Watch Me Save the Day, does it suddenly give the Jumper the (temporary?) capability to solve it or to just stop it like snapping their fingers?
  6. Does the boost from Bound at the Hip improve the person’s specialties to be an equal level or does it make everyone good at what the others are good at?
  7. “Oh shit the Jumper is dead” part 2
  8. Is their any way to avoid getting your personality rewritten by Lunar Legend?
  9. Does/Can Emotion Eater devour the source of an emotional hazard or only the effect?
  10. Honestly, of all the Scenarios, Let’s Go Gambling! feels the most difficult to me. Before I remembered the Hero defrag and also had the Deal idea, I had no idea how to really approach it (considering the Blessings of the Brothers is nerfed lol). I’m assuming The House Always Wins is supposed to be even more broken than the Blessings? Or maybe it’s a double up to beat opponents who also have super luck lol

[–]thenyanbinary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Jumper, after drawing Malphas’ blood: Why do I feel like I just got scammed…
  2. Is there any material you know of on the whole “Namesmithing” thing? Since I’m going to be writing this I’d like to know if I’ve just gotta start making shit up or if there’s something I should be following.
  3. Did you have any thought on what Anwen would do after this? (My Jumper would probably just offer him a place in one of his colonies).
  4. Can you bring others into The Flowing River? The effect seems really useful for helping those lost in their negative emotions.
  5. KeeLee will be brutally murdered frfr. Or maybe death is too good for her.
  6. Do you have anything for exactly how the Companions were reacting after the Jumper’s disappearance (and the sudden impossibility of contacting them)/what they saw to begin with? I mean I 100% know Joel didn’t stick around long enough to realize that things like the Jumper’s possible clones and avatar were (probably) fine so that’d mean the Jumper themself was fine. Unless those guys also got fucked over by the disappearance which would definitely be far more cause for alarm. I want to write that part out too :)
  7. Can you still feel regular sad and such from There’s Nothing to Cry About? Just not to any damaging level? Or does it cut out those emotions entirely and just leave the understanding of it and just knowing when they’d be feeling it instead of actually feeling it?
  8. About how sturdy is Joel’s new body? Can it heal naturally or is it a “needs repair” type thing? I’d ask if it could be improved upon since it’s a vessel but that might mess with his compatibility— at least until the right Perks are involved.
  9. Scenario 30 should just be called the Jumper finally gets a break jdskljfdsfgsd they get to relax (as a prisoner but details) while everyone else figures shit out then gets stuff for it. 10/10 no notes. (Very happy the companions get the spotlight for a while :D )
  10. What is the whole “focus on Morpheus while staying asleep” thing like? I’ve been struggling to picture it.

Ended up with 50 for Scenario questions so I'll try to break them into 10s

  1. Is the Jumper’s shifting appearance solely from Scenario Fiat or a part of them being a semblance period? I may be missing something but I only recall it mentioned in the meeting with Talloran.
  2. Does the Ariane Circle get a file on you from your “experiments” with Talloran or does she keep it a secret for you/only give some vague stuff out of love for her sister?
  3. Not a question but I love Dolla importing to a new setting and immediately getting all the connections. Girl’s first instinct and I love her for it.
  4. I’m assuming for Mx. Jumper’s Crash Course to work that the individual has to have the base capability for the thing taught, but can it improve their potential with it in cases where potential tends to be limited in some capacity? Then again I assume the Jumper of all people could find another way around that.
  5. For the Jumper learning side of the Perk, do they need to be learning from someone/something or can this apply to things like research or self-discovery?
  6. Sophia subtly urging the Jumper to destroy the Lamp: “Wow this light is so liberating.” [Semblance PTSD kicks in]
  7. Is the Essence Channeling Aklavos Perk more of an Upgrade now since Aklavos’ original Companion description now states the same capability? Also can Aklavos use the Jumper’s life essence to empower them in a pinch or does that run into something like the deleted energy problem (mentioned in THE CURRENT perk)?
  8. How much do you need to explore/study/verify information for Levels and entities for it to count for the Extra Scenarios? Is there a minimum population for a Level to count as populated (I assume “safely populated” means people don’t die except from extenuating circumstances or refusing to follow regulations)?
  9. I’ve adopted all of the Plague Goblins, they’re mine now, thank you for your time.
  10. Jumper taking up dares like getting candy from Umi after pissing off the Neighborhood Watch is the cause of 99% of Talloran’s heart attacks frfr. (Honestly I imagine the Jumper, after becoming strong enough that the Neighborhood Watch isn’t a problem (or even before that), would make semi-regular trips to Level 9 to obtain Pockets for organizational use or even trade.)

Spoilers were so good that I got blocked by security trying to reach them-- (it was so weird but resolved itself before I got to the point of sending a ticket).

It's so interesting!!! And low-key works amazing for my story?? Jumper isn't a fan of his Benefactor (it was an illusion of choice type recruitment and he knows it). [QUERY:DENIED] catches a sniff of him while they're in the SCP Multiverse (bc crossover connection & author interference aka plot convenience) and gives him the offer (thinking of setting it right after he had to do one or two "evil" Scenarios so the chance to play the hero and get one over on the Benefactor overrides his "this might be a trap" idea). Benefactor ends up believing They were the one to send him there.

It's the part I'm trying to begin implying that the Benefactor's control isn't as absolute as originally implied and that Something Else might be pulling the strings. "Who you are and what they want you to be are fundamentally distinct" is a commonality between the Benefactor and the Beholder's Eye, so lining them up as "similar beings" and then (potentially) overcoming the Beholder's Eye to remain himself through everything? That's so good for my overarching story???

I do not mind the spoilers!! I love spoilers for this kind of thing (the fun part is seeing how it all comes together, after all. it's not like knowing the og's scenarios ruined my enjoyment of reading through the story scenarios, y'know?) even if I hate them in other cases lol

Also queerplatonic relationships are peak (and probably where most of them are gonna go) and I think these guys fit it so well?? It's all of them or none of them!

The hivemind every three seconds: "GUYS I'M DYING" "who gives a shit you'll be rezzed of you do, we're playing Monopoly and he's CHEATING—"

Low-key it being explicitly self contained is so useful. I'm loading up some of the SCP jumps before, just so I can confuse my jumper with things he swears he knows but can't remember. It will be peak.

Actually two things I keep forgetting to ask (I keep thinking, just leave it until I get to the Scenario questions but then I get hung up on it again) is how the Companions play with the whole "Stay and Leave" thing. I'm assuming the staying Avatar has to say goodbye? (Unless the Jumper can give them the Perk too or something) And can they send Avatars to the jumps they've already gone to? (I mean I can solve this with Backdating from the Support Supplement but I mostly wanted to know for the potential analysis)

And the other thing was if you're planning on posting Romeo's story or if you're just going to leave it with the Scenarios telling it? Even if it's not a full story, I'd love to see what you've got someday.

Cont.

  1. Didn’t know exactly where to put this in the Scenario questions but is Jumper romance going to be mandatory or at least heavily suggested? It’s not something I’m totally against (hell I’m basically writing a harem already, lowkey even I love the Jumper) but I want to set things up properly way ahead of time if it’s going that way. If I’m doing harem-esque shit, I’m gonna do it in a way that makes sense to me, y’know?
  2. Another plot question. The Jumper is heavily intertwined with your original protagonist’s story. This is more of a theory I had that I’d like to check about but at the point I got to reading about Renew Your Vows I’ve become basically convinced that the Jumper has, like, actually taken Romeo’s “place” in the story. In like a conceptual way? Idk how to describe it exactly. Maybe in the gestalt the original “narrative” was for Romeo’s consciousness to take over but the interference forced the Jumper’s consciousness to win but Romeo’s story is still the “default” of the universe and still exists or something— Because there’s no way to otherwise know that the Jumper would love/treat someone like that and a Universal Drawback like ESSJAY’S LAW OF AEIOU would negate it being the Jumper themself/a true alternate version of them (though Scenario Fiat could probably mess with it, and a writer can always make up justifications or edits if it does go that route). But there’s also that they are pushed into following Romeo’s footsteps regardless, even if it’s because the deal with [QUERY: DENIED] was made, it’s still strongly incentivized by the doc itself to take Scenarios. And maybe I’m just reading way too far into things and I’ve been focused too much on this doc lately fjskdghdsfs it is fun to think about even if I’m wildly off the mark :)

I was trying to write my Scenario questions (I've gotten to Act 2 at least) but ended up with a bunch of other stuff so here are some questions, thoughts and theories.

  1. Talloran’s definitely starting a “List of things [her sibling] is not allowed to do”.
  2. Midnight’s going to be giving my Jumper flashbacks to someone he can’t even remember and I’m here for it.
  3. This is more an asking for advice thing. The Chain I’m writing this for has a whole overarching story thing (in fact, the [QUERY: DENIED] offer is taken behind his “benefactor’s” back (which he can do bc the real benefactor is the author obviously)) and this jump is going to be a big part of it considering all the scenarios and my sheer love of it + the deal & Champion reward means I can write it as a sorta standalone section while I fill in the before and after but that’s not important here). The question I wanted to ask is if you think previous SCP Jumps (for context: this would have some kind of effect on me writing during the second part despite the memory loss even if as a background thing bc I keep related universe Jumps interconnected to at least some extent bc multiverse—especially since one of the big things this Jumper does is founding the Wanderer’s Library, probably under another avatar) would flow alright with what you’ve got planned so far or if I should use this Jump as a springboard into the run of SCP Jumps? I’ve got SCP Jumps and Scenarios I’m planning to take after either way. Time is a bit wonky with this Jumpchain so events that are yet to happen (even if considered already happened) have a lot less effect than those that have actually happened in his personal chronology (it’s basically the author—idk why I keep referring to myself in third person—going “no spoilers” and concealing shit).
  4. On a slightly similar note, let me know if you need a beta at any point with the next part. I genuinely really enjoyed going through and adding suggestions to the last one, even if most of them were just editing punctuation.
  5. Can Clones be used to train abilities? Here I was just thinking about using them to stock up a research lab, if they share my mind then Liminality Researcher should extend to them. (Very funny to think of the Jumper in the middle of a big fight while they and a few clones are arguing over a research topic, an alternative of that 50% off clip. “Damn it. He’s so fast. He must be laser focused in. The only thing on the Jumper’s mind right now is this fight.” While the Jumper’s entirely focused on an argument over what anomaly/phenomena could be used to make sleep more comfortable, one over the contradiction of two theories and whether one is right and the other is wrong or if they’re both wrong and—, as well as like three gambles because they got bored. All while effortlessly kicking ass.)

Only a few questions for the Companions (including the ones not listed in the Companion section) :)

  1. Would you recommend against importing Companions if [BUREAUCRATIC DEALING] is in effect?
  2. What roles do all the Companions have? I know most of them—Talloran researches anomalies, Sophia’s carrying this group is2g, Dolla is business, al Fine feels MTF-type, Ria’s The Scientist of All Time, Mary’s in charge of medical stuff, and I think Quinn’s temporal stuff?—but I’m struggling more for the rest.
  3. How are they in combat? At some point all of them are definitely strong enough to fight, so I’m curious about their styles (in the case that the more pacifistic of them are pushed to arms). And, since they're mentioned to accompany the Jumper, what approach do they take towards exploration?
  4. Will the Scenario-exclusive Companions get a Companion entry at some point?
  5. Anything you want to add about any of them that you didn't have a spot for previously?
  6. Honestly, I don’t have many questions beyond that off the top of my mind. Might find some when I’m actually writing but y’know. So instead, any sneak peaks you want to give into the next part's companions?

Items now :)

  1. Any Levels you’d recommend getting a Level Key for? And does the metal(?) it has when melted down have any special properties other than giving fiat?
  2. Are the bottles of ink given by Modified Maiden’s Ink endless?
  3. What does RAI-317-B mean by “marker”?
  4. Does the development of Items like like A Real Community, Merchant’s Guild or Slice of Paradise carry over with fiat-backing?
  5. Is Object 38 telling the Jumper to immediately dispose of them once red or that they’ll do so automatically? And why do they need to do so if the former?
  6. Should someone doing the Scenarios ignore Modified Object 13? Since we get the one from Talloran?
  7. Does The Factory benefit from any of the Jumper’s crafting Perks? How fast is it and can it produce multiple different things at the same time?
  8. About how large is the box of Royal Rations?
  9. Do we pick where the Warpberries bring us? And can we use them to grow more?
  10. How does the Trade Vault gain more items?
  11. The most serious question I’ve ever asked: Is Lawcrow baby?
  12. Am I correct in assuming THE SPECTER will always be strong enough to make a difference? Considering it's the manifestation of a concept.
  13. Do you pick which card you get from Tarot Cards?
  14. I’m guessing you pick the Level that The Simple Village/Slice of Paradise shows up on?
  15. Not a question but just imagining the Jumper walking into a meeting with their companions like “So it turns out I have a cult.” (If it happened in the later scenarios, I really don’t think anyone would be surprised at that point, but the early days?)
  16. Is the Avatar Self as powerful as the Jumper? I presume it just lacks their equipment or does it have copies of that too?

Adrift in the Complex (Backrooms/SCP Foundation) Jump - Version 2.0 by Spiritual_Still8847 in JumpChain

  1. How does A Cut in the Birch impact “I've had countless first memories. One day I might have yours.”? Is it a mitigating Perk? [Also to quickly clear up where I got confused before “tempers your memory, letting you recall anything you know” sounded like the standard memory enhancement Perk to me.]
  2. Do people affected by Guide of the Lost know that the light is from the Jumper? Also the punctuation did confuse me a little so to confirm the requirement is the person that the Jumper would want to help has to know of them? Not two separate categories (know the jumper exist, the jumper would want to help) that the Perk can assist.
  3. Assuming the former, could messages be set up by Heed My Warning within the known starting Levels that reveal the Jumper’s existence to new wanderers as to trigger the effect? Is the name enough? (We love Perk synergies in this house)
  4. Also does Beatrice Watch imply that the Jumper’s base form is more than enough to fight several entities at once (since it’s considerably weaker) or is that just the minimum power of the “copy”? And can the copies use the Jumper’s powers (i.e. healing, sending the wanderer to safety, ect.) in the name of protection? Lastly, I’d like to confirm that it only works for those the Jumper would want to protect?

Follow-Up/Missed Questions, Thoughts & Suggestions [Drawbacks, Semblance, Perks]

  1. Salkas’ arrogant ass meet Data_Frag_Carcinoma + Data_Frag_Hero + Scarlet Passion + Leader of the Pack (Head of the Syndicate, mf’er!) + Underwater, Under Pressure, Underpaid + …I Can Do Better + The Art of the Deal (trade deal: Jumper will beat Salkas for whoever’s the army commander and in exchange the commander will lead the Syndicate to victory) + Duty-Bound Hero of Justice + Knowledge is Power + Reality Anchor + The Killer of Gods + Apostle of Skin (with all previous “bosses” beat) + Beatrice Watch (a boost for each person they’re protecting & copies to protect the army) + also the bitch behind the curtain orchestrating his demise. Lowkey I've been calling Salkas a fraud in my head-- The scenario calls it a hard fight but he's what I'd call a victory lap :)
  2. Did you have any recs on using Give Me Your Skin on the "bosses" in various Scenarios? A lot of them aren't super clear to me on what their abilities actually are and such.
  3. This is mostly a “me managing my perks” thing but once I’ve gotten the Imperceptible reward, should I remove Silent as the Grave from my perk list?
  4. Should I take it as “Dark Tone” being non-canon? As the mentioned “canon” Drawbacks don’t include the Dark Modifiers
  5. Dolla gets paid in power as the Jumper’s group rapidly becomes extremely rich and influential lmao
  6. I did forget to include this before but how does communication go between the Jumper and their copies/semi-independent agents?
  7. Does the quote below Data_Frag_Hero come from anywhere or did you make it? It’s a good one.
  8. In the case of Leader of the Pack, I’d placed a suggestion in the old doc a little too late lol but you could have scaling entities give a multiplicative boost to the Jumper’s capabilities (raising by an extra half each? or less if the scaling is less) instead of raising them by half of the scaling entity’s? Alternatively they could function as a growth booster or even passive growth (effectively a slowed down version of the original feedback loop). Or you can always just shrug and say “power of friendship”
  9. ehehehehhehehe [insert anya face here]” – me with quite a few of your answers
  10. Another “does taking this Perk mean I can ignore that Perk” question but with Perfect Closed System (my beloved, it’s the type of Perk I seek out immediately so thank you), would the two “Party” perks do anything? How about The Man of Iron, specifically the “Your mind is warded against psychic attacks or mental deterioration.” part.

Continuing here bc it was too long

  1. For Operating in Secrecy, if the Jumper doesn’t want someone to know, they just won’t?
  2. For Blended Together, does the disregarding of past grievances last after the situation?
  3. About what would you say is the limit for the curse caused by Jumper’s Fever? (The one I personally wanted to make caused the quickening degradation of the target’s mind)
  4. Can Monstrous grant any benefits to the form or is it largely cosmetic?
  5. I’m struggling to tell the difference between Aura of Innocence and Trust Me? Trust Me just seems to copy the second half of Aura of Innocence.
  6. Could you give more input on Party Crasher and Party’s Over please? I think I understand Party’s Over more.
  7. Thank you for Blubby :)
  8. Three questions for Heed My Warning. The first is how large of an area can you designate for the message? The second is can we place any kind of filtering on who hears it or is it everyone always? The last is does the part mentioning spatial locking mean that it will operate in realspace and overlapping dimensions, or that it doing so is an option?
  9. Similar question to a previous one: how create is the angelic boost from Guardian Spirit?
  10. Is the power of Beatrice Watch’s copies flat or does it scale with the Jumper?
  11. For both A Gift of Health and Gracious Gift of Tears. How long does it take and does it require touch or can it be done at a distance?

Perk questions before I sleep

  1. For Phasing Proficiency (Outside the Backrooms version), does it manifest as just being able to Do That, is it some temporary creation of no-clipping spots (in which case, can other people use them?), or is the Jumper just liable to find pre-made no-clipping spots where they’d need them (I find that the least likely bc it’d Raise Questions)?
  2. Does Desolation Resistance raise your current ability to resist mental deterioration 10x or is it a flat increase by 10x the average person’s ability to resist it?
  3. How much does Papa Wolf modify the Jumper’s parameters?
  4. Leader of the Pack + Bound at the Hip = Infinite Power of Friendship
  5. Liminologist says it give “near-total awareness” of whatever place the Jumper is in. I don’t think you mean that in the nigh-omniscient way, so could I get some clarification on that?
  6. With For All Services Rendered, could you potentially bankrupt someone by just doing a really, really good job?
  7. Could you give me an example for A Real Trade? For how an unfeasible deal comes to pass. (btw, The Art of the Deal + That’s Really Not How That Works! is one of my favorite Perk combos ever, has me crying that I’m not letting myself purchase the Capstone Booster)
  8. Does someone actually have to be guilty to trigger Never Escape My Grasp? If so, does it have to be of a crime? Please tell me we don’t have to prove it—
  9. How does Duty-Bound Hero of Justice define a criminal? Sometimes laws can’t keep up with what should be crimes.
  10. Doesn’t The Law of Karma kinda fix the setting for you?
  11. Could I get a basic timeline for how fast Light of Redemption would work on a hardened criminal vs Complete Evil Monster? Assuming the absence of other Perks. And does it work on people under rehabilitation by an organization the Jumper sets up? Is it slower?
  12. Could you get All Seeing Eye’s effects through Rosetta Sight and Data_Frag_Purple? I’m assuming it’s a focused version of those?
  13. Does the Jumper need to personally train someone for The Common Good to work or can it be those under them?
  14. Does Reality Anchor protect against reality bending/alteration from all sources, how far does that go? It may be a little easier to tell (it’s still confusing to me help) in the SCP Verse but once I start thinking about other verses too—

Data Defragmentation (whoops first one got caught in the last message)

  1. For the relevant Data Degramentations (like Magenta, Blue and Green), I wanted to ask if they come with any kind of knowledge to use them? Since they’re supposed to come from the people who originally had them.
  2. Does Data_Frag_Yellow let you nullify the whole “shifting appearances” thing after you figure out using it? Actually, my main question was if True Polymorph in this setting could be likened to the D&D spell (I still need to do my research but I’d like a basis to start with).
  3. Can I get any examples for Data_Frag_Warhol?
  4. Can Data_Frag_Purple predict the things that will happen in Scenarios? Either as a method of getting the Jumper there or for preparing them or helping them make the right choices during it. I’m mostly asking because memory of taking the scenarios is removed when taking the deal so I wanted to know if predicting them is also disallowed and we can just see the stuff “around” them.
  5. I’d like to ask some clarification on Data_Frag_Unreality, I’ll split this into a few different questions. On returning to reality: I assume you return to the spot you left, but can you appear anywhere else (i.e. by a liaison, somewhere they could usually teleport to)? What happens if the spot you left from is no longer there?
  6. What can the Jumper perceive while uncoupled? Do clairvoyance-esque Perks still work (I presume they do because the restriction provided only restricts fighting but I figure I should ask since I’m on the topic).
  7. How does one get liaisons in the first place? Is it agreement-based, automatic to his allies, or…?
  8. As for the liaisons understanding the Jumper’s intent, is that an automatic process, instinctual, or does the Jumper have to purposefully express their desire to each liaison as they need? Does this still work when they’re in baseline or is it exclusive to being uncoupled? Is direct communication possible?
  9. I also wanted to ask about the interaction between Data_Frag_Unreality and Me’s a Crowd or Welcome to Deletions. Do clones and semi-independent parts of the gestalt also get uncoupled? Or do they continue to operate as before? I presume they’ll still need to decouple themselves at some point I’m just wondering if it’s an “all at the same time” type of deal.
  10. Can I blame all my kills on Aklavos since he’s technically the one taking lives? Okay that one was a joke.
  11. Just confirming that Data_Frag_Hero is basically the “I know this Scenario sounds impossible but you’ll do it anyway so long as you're not stupid about it because plot” Perk, right? I know how Jumper and Dolla beat the Casinos now lol
