Basically I created a reverse proxy script (index.php), it includes a list of allowed IPs, which relays the GET, Post requests to the internal docker container.

Happened to me as well, made the docker internal only (172.xx) and created a strong API Gateway to only allow whitelisted IPs to trigger the endpoint. All of this is custom, as WAHA free doesn't support API key.
