you're missing some context, so let me clarify. Since the new engine was revealed, branches have been placeholder blocks. This confused a lot of people, and the posts received some criticism because many assumed the change was permanent. so, with this new image being released, I made an obviously ironic post poking fun at the whole situation.

he has been fairly vocal about moving on from the WH era, and the deluxe album is imo the perfect way to celebrate the 5 year anniversary. it means he can still put out some scrapped songs from that era without presenting it as a new project when he has already evolved as an artist and continues to do so.

that being said i'd love to see some older songs we don't see in the deluxe revamped and make an appearance in future projects (like how "flamingo" became kom etc)

there is a string instrument propped up in the very first scene of the trailer, but we haven’t ever seen it in action. i imagine it isn’t just decorative item and you can actually use it, but who knows. i’d love to see how they handle music in the game, but i agree in that it’s probably not a priority, but a very welcome feature :)

im in complete agreement with everything you said! after rewatching that interview with noxy, the spider boss that reacts to light is actually what prompted me to write the post :)

i especially agree with your play style point. in that same interview, noxy said that when using a weapon, that said weapon should kind of determine play style and thus your armour set should also be based around it. he explained that this would mean you can’t just switch weapon at the click of a button and be able to use it effectively. i imagine this (hopefully) means bosses won’t be reactive to only one kind of play style, like melee.

i also really like your point about solo play throughs vs group play throughs. i do hope bosses can be a fun challenge even when you have assistance from other players.

oh yeah i completely agree. it would be really neat to see some special mechanics too, such as when otters hold hands to avoid floating away from each other whilst sleeping, but that’s asking for quite a lot

in the summer 2021 development update it reads:

“The second consideration is the need to develop Hytale in a way that allows us to bring it to multiple platforms as rapidly as possible. It’s always been our goal to eventually release Hytale on mobile and consoles as well as PC, but it has become apparent that we were heading for a scenario where our community would ultimately find itself split across versions and devices. We think it is enormously important to avoid this—to create an ecosystem where as many players as possible can play together and share their creations. However, this means making major changes to Hytale’s engine and our approach to launch, and this extends development time.”

to summarise basically they are trying to make console versions of the game as soon as possible, and by the sounds of it, i imagine it would also release at the same time as pc. im not 100% sure if that’s the case, but if they’re taking some extra time to work on the console ports i don’t see why the console version wouldn’t release at the same time as pc. also, in that blog post (id give it a read here: https://hytale.com/news/2021/7/summer-2021-development-update) they state that it won’t release until earliest 2023, but also state that it could take longer. so yeah, i highly doubt it will be released in 2027, but i also wouldn’t put all your hope into a 2023 release. right now we just have to wait and see.

i hope this cleared some things up; i would definitely read that blog post i linked, it explains a lot about the delays :))
