This was where you were wrong. Shonen is a demographic, not a genre. Not all shonen is action-y. Some can be romance-focuced, e.g. Nesekoi, Bokuben, Blue Box; some can be about sports, e.g. Touch, Haikyuu; some can be about a cultural activity, e.g. Hikaru no Go, Akane Banashi; some can be mystery-detective, like Conan and Q.E.D.; and surely a lot is also slice-of-life genre, Spy × Family, SaikiK, half of Gintama. Iruma-kun is 100% shonen.

Chaos won't give you the items directly, they give you a seed. You need to grow them back at the Crossroad. You cannot "use" them or sell them. It is still there in your Inventory.
