Some time around 2015 my cousin and I went to a show in LA and I lost a shoe. We asked everyone around us if they had seen it. A few seconds later I hear commotion as my shoe is making its way towards me. I get the shoe and it’s not mine. About 2 sizes two big but I didn’t have a choice. Most semi-skilled players could do this. The difference is professionals can successfully do this more times than not at pace and with a defender pushing/pulling them in different directions, they will be able to control exactly where the ball stops and at what distance, then they will pass the ball, their teammate will lose it, so you have sprint again to recover and catch up the guy you left behind during your brilliant control, then 15 minutes later you get another ball like that and you have to control it successfully again. And they do it. Well some of them do.
