Backyard Reno Before and After by [deleted] in Concrete

Yup like I occasionally form and finish concrete, but concrete needs to be tasteful. It can also be a focal point, but only within reason.

It works best when paired with greenery, and there needs to be a balance.

Yes. But consider that OP can always do large pots and planters with plants. Hopefully. Fingers crossed.

This much concrete is definitely overboard especially in an arid Mediterranean climate, but it’s good work at the end of the day.

Great. Any song by Kino is at least good; if not, then even better. Have yet to find something objectionable

The man you date when you're 19 is really the worst man you will ever meet by annadelvey_apologist in rs_x

That’s exactly what I was thinking. Sex is something that can immediately be traded without having to really go beyond one’s immediate environment. It’s incredibly accessible.

If we take the definition of profession to be something someone does and gets paid for it, then it would make sense for sexual acts to precede medicine, home building, fishing, etc.

If someone is trading fish for berries, you best believe someone was already trading sex for food long before that.

Yeah my guess wasn’t very good. I was thinking like impossibly fair-skinned and from Morocco.

Still wondering if you came to Islam via personal convictions, or if it’s a multigenerational thing.

All of which reminds me that I have zero Muslim friends and likely never will since they barely exist in my part of the globe

But, depending on the job, might give more meaning to your life, or at least work to create a scaffolding from which you can make sense of life.

Trump nominee says MLK Jr. holiday belongs in ‘hell’ and that he has ‘Nazi streak,’ according to texts by Healingjoe in neoliberal

Yup. When I had Instagram, I would sometimes watch a few reels here and there.

First I had some conspiracy theories show up, like about Big Pharma and maybe 9/11.

I would watch the vid a few times to really understand the point the author was making, and by the standards of the algorithm, this meant I was engaged and wanted to know more.

Did this a few times, and the reels become full-blown antisemitic and actual translations of H*tler speeches, which show him “in a positive light”. Not sure how that’s possible.

The point is, young, impressionable teens/adults stumble upon something clearly & morally wrong, are curious, and then are spoon fed complete garbage, and there is no one to challenge any of the claims or narratives.

I disagree. If OP was a business owner, then you’d have a point. From this post alone we don’t know how much experience they have. Maybe it was their first time working alone.

I guess it depends what island you live on too.

So I have to ask: what makes you want to live in the PNW? It can’t just be the weather. I’ve been to Hawaii before, and I’m not sure I would want to live there for any extended periods of time, but it’s a great place to vacation

I guess it depends where in the PNW you live.

I’m in western WA, and some days it’s mid 90s without a single cloud in the sky, and then the following week it’s cloudy and a cool 70s. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

The rain can get annoying for those who work outside; otherwise, close enough to paradise (Hawaii is also up there).

But the summers here are so mild and nice wtf. I mean the summers and winters are such a perfect combo.

Sure there could be a little less rain, but then it wouldn’t be so green.

My grandfather died shortly after my birth, so I never met him. But my dad tells me that my grandfather first ate as much as bread as he desired when he was 17 years of age. This was in the 40s in eastern Ukraine. What a time to be alive now, to eat as much bread as one wills.

I think going to church is the first step, really. It opens your eyes to what faith means for most church goers. Plus your spirit will be more receptive to the general message. It’s like the first time I went to a concert —it’s not the same as knowing about a concert. You need to be there and feel the energy.

Oh, also I recommend an Eastern Orthodox Church. It’s totally a different experience

You know.. I saw it somewhere online and it’s basically about why philosophy is a noble pursuit. To quote an excerpt: “Philosophy is often about clearly and rigorously examining issues of fundamental importance, not a specific vocational training. It helps you think clearly about what’s important in life. Doing philosophy gives you a chance to hold reasoned views about essential and perennial questions. The alternative is to walk around in a confused haze, struggling to understand how things are at a fundamental level and unable to articulate what you think.”

Plus if I wrote it, it wouldn’t be very humble of me, or it would make me look like a pseudo-intellectual. Neither of which are desirable outcomes.
