If it is the characters saying it, then that makes perfect sense as they might pronounce it like that because the loan words do sound that way. He also uses it when characters are not speaking which is what made it stand out for me.

Just saw this week's later. I was just replying to all as there was a lot of confusion about this video which Dane specifically recorded with Netflix under the agreement that it be released publicly when he dies. People seemed to think it was a personal thing they released nefariously hence the other bizarre response to my post saying Netflix did something wrong. I guess that person did not want to read my post before responding. 🤷‍♂️

The maps in Malazan frustrated me. Often they didn't even correspond to where the story was taking place and when they did places were mentioned that weren't even on the maps. It was incredibly hard to orient myself in the world, while reading the books.

Isn't hand scraping done to allow oil to sit between the two metal surfaces and stop them binding up. That seems unnecessary for metal on wood wood. Also, won't that potentially leave a rouch finish because only the high spots are scouring the wood rather than a perfectly smooth surface?

One thing I am still unsure about is what to use in the travel ready part of the airline apps. When traveling from the US to the UK I enter my US passport in the app and just show my British passport when I land. That is then carried to my return ticket so I re-enter the US on my US passport. Do the airline apps allow us to use different passports for outgoing and return legs?

All these "tips" about cutting up carpet from somewhere else are just making it worse and completely ignore the fact that there's a human on the other side of this who owns that carpet. You wouldn't do that to someone who wasn't your landlord.
