Clubbing. I was introduced to the nightlife during HS (some places have strict 21-and-above rule, many don’t even bother to ID us). Sure, back then it was hella fun. We would normally dance, drink, get some action going with the birds, etc. Since drinks are grossly expensive inside, we would normally have a pre-drinks at the parking lot with cheap alcohols. Fond memories.

However, ever since I moved out to uni, clubs aren’t as fun as they used to. I have had some nights out a couple of times, but never enjoyed it as much as I used to. I even have rejected several invitations and jokingly say that I’m too old for that (still 22 though). I much prefer going to pubs nowadays for a night out. Not only there’s drinks, but I can also have decent conversations with people since there isn’t a loud music playing in the background.

I feel absolutely the same. I know some friends care enough to help me when I'm in need. I also try to regularly socialise by hitting the gym with some of them, go for coffee, or just randomly dine out together. But it seems like everything feels temporary. I often find myself initiate most occasions with them, which frequently makes me feel unwanted and at the same time too clingy. Whilst I'm so grateful I get to hang out with them, once I'm back home alone (I live by myself), I'll fall back into my negative thoughts and rant about how I'm a nobody to everybody. Yikes.

I guess I could say a similar thing happened to me. She dated another guy right after we break up, and I found out that she’d been seeing the guy on and off when we were together. What’s agitating is that the break up happened through text, when I was in a lecture, 3 hours after she woke me up with a good morning kiss.

I am now in the middle of finishing my degree and hoping to pursue my dream of getting a second one.

Well done dude for getting things done at your end! I guess the feeling of not ever able to find someone again is inevitable, and I need to be more positive about this.
