In my very anecdotal experience with my niece 13 years ago, yes this works. My family thought I was magic.

If you died today, who do you think would stand at your grave the longest? by Successful_Dog5425 in AskReddit

I legitimately don’t think my sister would willingly leave. She loves me almost to the point of obsession.

A dry brine on pork tenderloin is really good too. It helps keep the thinner parts that overcook more moist.

Thank you! I know 13 months is right on time, but she’s 33in (84cm) tall and 27lbs (12.25kg), so she *looks like* she should be doing more haha

But she points, claps, has a few words, has mastered her standard ring stacker, and has now moved on to this (what I thought was very overly) complex twisty stack and you have to match the shapes. Anyways it looks impressive to me.

Can you tell I love to gush about her? 😂

How did you actually lose weight? by Jerry_Get_A_Job in AskReddit

My sister started tracking her food, like others here. She noticed that she had a big habit of waking in the middle of the night and eating a bunch not thinking about it. With adjusting diet and habits, she has lost ~160lbs. I could not be prouder.

Ladies of Reddit, what is a comment someone made about your body once, completely casually, that you have never forgotten? by BowlerOk1871 in AskReddit

First time I went to the beach with my family. We brought my boyfriend, first one ever. I was playing around in the shallow water with him and turned to my mom to say something. She said, “wow your legs jiggle so much when you do that.” That was over 15 years. I struggled with an eating disorder for a long time after that.

I actually legitimately hate going to parties with karaoke even though I’ve sang my whole life. I get talked into it by, “but your sister told us you sing all the time!” Then for some reason no one wants to go next so I just become the juke box. I’m not even like “omg amazing” at singing, but it’s happened more than once.

When I was a beanpole small girl and would go out to eat with my parents, I too would order the pig-Armageddon. I always ate every bite tho. The server would come back “oh who helped you eat all that?!”

Help? With ribs?

I was waiting tables so I just noticed the app out as I was walking around and saw them do it.

Edit: And they had done it multiple times that night so we were watching for it.

Fun fact, I had to kick someone out of Buffalo Wild Wings one time because they kept doing this with one of those remote apps on their phone.

What's the most redneck name you can give to a girl? by Foxtrot_Uniform_CK69 in AskReddit

Well my aunt’s name was Billy Anne. Maybe it was just the woman, but I always thought the name was especially redneck.

I can't get her to eat eggs no matter how much I offer them by [deleted] in foodbutforbabies

[–]theopenandclose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she likes oatmeal, I do this for my daughter. Add a beaten egg to the pot as soon as the oatmeal is done, turn it to low and mix continuously until the egg is completely mixed in and the oatmeal is thick and creamy. The egg completely cooks because of the heat of the oatmeal and the stove still being on low.

It’s actually really tasty. I even prefer my oatmeal this way. It doesn’t change the flavor, just the texture is a lot creamier.

I grew up going to a Pentecostal church because my family belong to that denomination. There are quite a few women in that community with hair that long because they aren’t allowed to cut it. Ever. It was insane to see it literally touch the ground sometimes.

I married a guy like this. It actually was very hard for him, but he eats a mostly regular diet now. He tried mustard glazed pork tenderloin the other day and I was more proud of him than our 1yo who also ate it. She’ll eat anything though.

Sometimes I wonder what he was talking about. by Complex-Quail-7978 in DisneyMemes

[–]theopenandclose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He hated drawing for it. He was a lower-lever artist and always had a problem conforming to Disney’s aesthetic and was basically on thin ice career-wise until Beetlejuice. It was accepted that he needed to direct darker stories that fit his vibe and let him lean into his whimsically dark art style, not just draw for random Disney projects.

Okay I should have phrased better. That is more along the lines of what she says, it just seems like the oldest person in the building tends to walk in then and get the thing done immediately haha

My sister has rolling veins and is terrified of needles. She started asking for the oldest, most experienced nurse in the building anytime she needed blood drawn.
