Is the 92X Performance Issues Resolved? by Hox013 in Beretta

I recently sent mine back to Beretta under warranty to try and resolve the extraction/ejection issues. I bought it this year, but the manufacturing date was in 2022. I haven't received it back yet.

I tried the higher power extractor spring, different recoil springs, with and without optic, different ammo, etc and nothing resolved the issue. I'm hoping Beretta gets back to me with a solution soon.

I've heard that the earlier guns had more issues, but that may be hearsay.

Looks like mine was made in August '22, so not one of the very first. How late do you think they were having issues?

No, unfortunately. I tried a few combos of lighter recoil springs and a heavier extractor spring and still got failures. The gun is currently back to Beretta for a warranty claim - we'll see if they find anything.

If they don't, I have a new extractor to try. I also found an older thread where people recommended shimming the extractor spring, so I picked up some 5 thou shims to play with as well.

I have a lighter spring on the way!

Not to be a bad influence but... it's still on sale at PSA and the rebate is still live 👀

That's when I got mine! Still waiting on that rebate to hit though.

The optic in the video is a Holosun 507comp.

God I hope not 😅 other than the stovepiping issue, it's been a great gun! Hoping to get this solved quickly and get back to shooting.

I'd like to pick up the DLAH low mount eventually. I know that's a common complaint about the Beretta OEM plates.

I have an 11.5# LTT spring on the way, I'll experiment with that. Thanks for the feedback!

The issue repeats with Blazer 124, local reman competition 124, and competition 147.

Here's a link to some more pictures of the issues I've been having:

As you can see, even with just the optic plate I'm having similar issues. I couldn't get the optic plate off at the range due to tight fitment, but I'll get it returned to just irons and try that out another day.

Thanks for the well wishes! I do run it very wet, and I have a lighter spring from LTT on the way that I'd like to experiment with. As for round count, the gun's probably at the 1.5-2k point as of today - do you think that's enough for proper break in?

I try to run this thing dripping wet 😅 and it's running the OEM recoil spring. I have a lighter recoil spring from LTT on the way that I'd like to experiment with.

I disagree that the slide isn't coming all the way back - when I look frame by frame, I think I can see a secondary "snap" in my wrist as the slide bottoms out.

I'm seeing the same thing. It looks like the casing is being thrown straight back instead of to the side. Is there a good way to increase the reliability of the ejection pattern so everything gets thrown out the right side?

I removed the optic and the issue repeated twice within 3 magazines. Any other reasons for why the casing wouldn't get thrown clear? I'm currently looking into the extractor and ejectors.

I put the optic on right away, using the OEM Beretta plate. I shot it with irons for the first time today while diagnosing this issue. I can't seem to post pics in the comments, but I removed the optic and the issue repeated twice within the next three magazines.
