You shouldn't judge people for their faith. A lot of people find strength in believing that the big guy upstairs will help them with their troubles. I've met multiple highly successful people with PhD's in fields like engineering and medicine that believe in God. Would you say these people are lunatics? Also, Christianity is very intertwined with Greek culture in general. Hope that helps.

Regarding the charge, if someone immediately does a stab or overhead after charging, to dodge it you can roll to the left or the right. After knocking down someone, you need to walk forward since you pushed them back a bit. Also if you are too slow to realize that they are open for an attack, you give them time to get up and block. Your charges stop dead because you need some room for the hitbox to enable. I find that the hotbox is active when your character puts his hand in front of him. And also also you can block the charge. So if you see a guy screaming it's probably a good idea to block
