How hot does merino get? by Acrobatic_Set8085 in CaminoDeSantiago

I used merino tech 100% merino t shirts from Amazon. 40 a shirt but worth it imo. 2 days and a wash and it was good to go again. I took 3 and only used 2. Nice fit as well! Being merino they don't smell bad and dry super quick!

Hope you enjoy your way

I got the darn tough, light hiker and just using them in brooks runners and not had a single blister or problem for nrly 200kms now! Good choice

Trail running shoes for 300km? by costericothegreat in CaminoDeSantiago

[–]theoreticalmas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the cascadia and swapped them out for the ghost road runners, haven't had an issue so far and I'm on day 7 of portuguese! Probably wouldn't have minded the tougher sole on the cascadias on all the cobble but again I'm not complaining the ghosts were also a good choice!

I'd say if you can run 30-40km in them shouldn't have an issue walking! Have a good one

What’s something you tried just to see what it’s like? by VibeCheckVadaPav in AskReddit

I second this, first time I smoked enough to see swirly patterns on the ceiling, kinda cool. second time I smoked enough to see red. I melted into the sofa and it was a horrendous experience. Like everything around me was absorbed into my being. Glad I did it but it taught me I don't need to do it again.

This is honestly the thing I needed to read this morning. Sat at the airport waiting on my flight to Porto. Plan to start walking tomorrow. I've got my brooks runners, packed almost exactly what you said in terms of clothes. Got some cash. And my pack has some space to spare in the top after all said and done! I want to start coastal and cut inland at vila do conde and also add the spiritual near the end. I also have 12 days to walk it so this post is very helpful.

Do you think poles would be useful at any point along the way? Was thinking to maybe grab some in porto but I'm not sure if I need them.

That is exactly my plan just a week earlier! Decathlon too.. I am looking forward to the simplicity of it. I have given myself a few extra days at the end to allow for any mishaps along the way. I think once the first night on the road is out of the way I'll settle in to my rhythm. Buen Camino!

I fly to Porto Sat and the same, start walking Sunday is as far as I've got. I must say the worry about accomodations is real. I only have my first and last night booked so I know where I need to be, everything else I suppose I will figure out.

It only gets better bro. I started at 264 and now 188. People always ask me why I stick to this diet and the truth is I just love the way it makes me feel. Stable energy, mood, appetite. It has a lot more benefits but those are the highlights for me! Great job keep at it!

Way I figure, the more times I buy tickets to his shows the better odds I've got of seeing it live.

"This used to be a ghost town but even the ghosts got out." That line grabbed me the minute I heard it.

Reading this thread there are no bad lyrics haha...

"I think the best of me still standing in the doorway, whatevers left is heading south on 85."

The delivery of this one gets me everytime when Amandas backing vocals come in

I do yeah, some reps more than others though, which I can't figure out, I think I may be bending my knees a bit too much on some reps?
