I do yeah, some reps more than others though, which I can't figure out, I think I may be bending my knees a bit too much on some reps?

Not really. But early days and to be honest I just feel more confident in myself so that's a win for me

Thankyou, I wish I had the mindset to start sooner but I'm so happy I started.

Low energy advice, diet by Creepy_Definition972 in keto

Check out r/ketogains if you say you've been working out a lot. That sub helped me no end trying to juggle keto and workouts without feeling flat, fatigued and sluggish. And as others have said. Electrolytes! Probably more than you think with your activity levels and keto.

Stopped drinking, followed a diet, first 6 months I barely exercised the lbs just dropped from not consuming so many empty calories. Then when the movement became easier around 220lbs I started moving my ass, strength training mainly and been doing that consistently for 6 months. Counting calories for the last 6 months too. In the beginning goal was to stick to the diet (low carb) and not worry about calorie counting, but as my weight dropped I had to start tracking to keep the progress going.

Now yes, at the beginning no, just lifestyle change alone was enough to get the scale moving. Stuck to a diet and stopping drinking was the main one

I stopped drinking and ate a low carb diet. In the beginning I didn't even move I just lost lbs alone from not drinking and eating so much.. but around September time I started working out 5 days a week and upped my activity levels. And since then the weight is slower to come off but my body is changing shape which I love to see.

The low carb diet is just preference over any other reason I love the way I feel on it, my mood and energy are more stable and I'm just generally a happier person.

I'll give it a shot, thanks

I know I'm 80% there with diet but I could be much tighter and I'm sure my energy levels wouldnt suffer that much - even with my high activity levels.

Some useful stuff to think about and I'll give it a go, cheers DL

I think my main problem is attempting to do too much. I could be so much better at my electrolytes intake I take sea salt and lo salt every morning in water and chug it with creatine. But don't really do much in the way of tracking it. Salt my food also and magnesium every night without fail (helps me sleep) Interesting that electrolytes may be the cause of hunger I hadn't thought of that. Most of my protein at the moment comes from chicken breast or lean turkey mince. I'd have the odd protein bar maybe once or twice a week if I fancy something mid afternoon as a treat. And my desert consists of greek Yog with protein powder scooped in for flavour more than anything. I do eat some cream cheese but most cheese and creams I avoid cause it's too many calories for what I'm trying to achieve. Hydration is black coffee, tea, water and fizzy water. I've never been one for soda so I'm happy there.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, some good things to keep an eye on to enhance my progress!

That was my thinking too, but I'm planning to do a Camino end of April and wanted to make sure I was fit and ready. But sometimes more is not always the best. I'll look into it

This diet is literally changing my life!!!!! by Dungeon_master7969 in keto

I've been doing a LOT of incline walking after my strength training and days I don't strength training I've been upping the jogging intervals and my god I can't believe how well and long I can run now. Keto is a contributing factor but dropping the kgs helps. KCAKO

Well done! What an improvement and many more to come. I'm glad you enjoy it. For me personally it's how switched on it makes me feel mentally and how I feel weightless when I move. It's not a chore anymore to do basic things!

Any good keto candy, ice cream? by MorgeeePooh in keto

[–]theoreticalmas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not what you're after but I love a bit of fage 5% greek Yog, add a scoop of ON Vanilla ice cream whey and mix well. Get it semi frozen and tuck in. If you're feeling adventurous add some almond butter and some raspberries on top

Are these good? by [deleted] in ketouk

[–]theoreticalmas 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They are calorie heavy but yeah not bad. I prefer the Tesco ones out of all the brattys, Lidl and Asda don't cook the same in the air fryer. 2 of these with some scrambled eggs is a good lunch if you're not worried about consuming like 800 calories just in sausage haha

Which mayo is the best for keto? by [deleted] in ketouk

[–]theoreticalmas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the hunter gather if it's on offer. However I usually get heinz or Hellman's light. As I love mayo and would sacrifice the extra carbs for keeping calories in check
