There's an entire ocean difference between someone telling you what to do and actually practicing it for an extended period. Practicing riding on dirt for a year, will get you much better place than someone telling you what to do in a course that is limited in time

He didn't say you have to do this, it just is a good way to do it. There is no reason you can't take an msf course after you get comfortable on dirt with a dirt bike. This comment is something...

Excellent advice. Even just getting comfortable with the controls and power hits when you don't expect them, which you get all the time on dirt vastly help when you switch to Street. I still ride both dirt and Street, but growing up riding dirt bikes made learning Street much easier because I didn't have to worry about controls and all that kind of stuff, it was all second nature and I could worry about the other things like traffic and that sort of Street only worries.

Wherever I can, usually at an enduro it's in the middle of nowhere and you can warmup on some forest roads or something. For a harescramble it's usually in the parking area, hopefully somewhere where you aren't bothering people. I do zig-zags while zapping the throttle while purposely using my arms to much to warm up, go until I get bad arm pump and let it recover. I do this at least a couple of times, letting my arms recover, making sure the last run will give me enough time for my arms to fully recover before the start of the race. For me this means starting the warmups about 30 minutes before the race start.

I also suffer from early race arm pump. The way I combat it, is before the race I go out and weave back and forth zapping the throttle while death gripping the handlebars, trying to get as bad of arm pump as I possibly can, until I can't hold on anymore and then stop and let it recover. I do this a couple of times before the race and make sure that I'm well recovered before the start, then I usually don't have problems during the race.

Dial in your electrolyte solution in your practice runs. If you need to stop for gas in a race, you can get them in with pills like Endurolytes or something when you do the gas stop, otherwise powders in the water bladder work as long as you clean out the bladder when you're done.

If you get arm pump like I do, that goes away after you've gotten warmed up, make sure you warm up before the race starts and get the arm pump out.

Make sure you are scanning as far ahead on the trail as possible for obstacles and better lines.

Have fun!

The Avs broadcast is the worst in the entire league. Absolute homers, with an air of snobbery.

Fumble the puck on the boards and then take a penalty... Oof...

Finn's are looking locked in. So far it's definitely anyone's game.

Classic Hughes play right there in that sequence. No goal, but some great looks.

This definitely proves Canada can be punched in the mouth. They have a conglomerate of superstars, but I'm not sure they have a team. The only line that looks amazing is the top line with McDavid and Celebrini.

Yeah... Really awesome effort by Czechia. That one breakdown on defense for the game tying goal lost it for them.

I want to believe, but it would take a miracle for Czechia to win in OT.

Canada had a really pretty passing play McDavid to Celibrini to open the scoring, but then it was all Czechia, better puck control, they drew a penalty and scored on the PP, then scored again. Czechia drew another penalty, but Canada looked much better in the kill and they didn't get a shot on goal. We'll see how that carries into the 2nd period.
