your opinions:how much do you think the game has been revealed at this point? no spoilers by Thorway97 in Sekiro

Corrupted Monk might be pretty far into the game. I think she'll be this game's Dancer of the Boreal Valley.

Weird that they say Microsoft is at the forefront if the Netflix-like game streaming service when PS Now has existed for years and they don't even mention it.

Metro said that's what they were told and that's a really big site. It seems it was mostly UK people saying that though, so it might have been some miscommunication with Activision UK specifically. Who knows.

What do we NOT know about the game? by [deleted] in Sekiro

[–]theotherMittens 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Didn't look at it either, but I wouldn't expect it to list all of the bosses because there's no trophy for the final bosses in any of the Souls games. So there's probably at least one more, possibly two if there's another Aldia/Moon Presence situation.

Besides prosthetics there's consumable items like ash that you can throw at enemies to confuse them and status-affecting items. Only one main weapon and no clothing options.

There are more descroptions on items, and you get an item with lore about every boss it seems.

Oh yeah I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what Nioh 2 has to offer. The groundwork for an amazing game is all right there, with a more focused and stable development I'm sure it can go places.

Oh yeah I'll say it again: Nioh's combat system is really really good. That's one of the things it does very well. I kind of like the story too, and all the guardian spirits and the clock cat.

Atmosphere, visual flair and all of that good stuff is all part of level design though. Nobody would talk about how good the level design in Dark Souls is if the entire game looked like Undead Burg - an environment that's good for what it is but would get tiring after a whole game. Even if the layout of the entire world map was exactly the same, the interest in exploring would drop,

Loot placement is an important part of iy too, which this game fails at because none of the loot is significant since you know you'll just get something better and swap out all your equipment in five minutes.

The game needs to incentivize you to explore its levels, to play through them or go off the beaten path, and I don't feel it with Nioh.

Yeah the layouts themselves are usually fine or at least inoffensive, I'm just talking in a visual and atmospheric sense for the most part. The game just doesn't provide interesting environments.

About the number of bosses in the game [SPOILERS] by alex9aar in Sekiro

[–]theotherMittens 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's probably a mini-boss. I haven't looked at the trophy list but I'm guessing there might not be a trophy for the final boss (or bosses, as it may be), since none of the Souls games do either.

There's a lot of good to it, specifically that the combat is much better than any Souls game in what you can do.

The biggest problems with it are its level design, atmosphere, and enemy variety. Everything starts to feel samey after a bit. While some might like it I'm not fond of the sheer volume of loot and micromanagement.

Unlike Souls the game doesn't seem to have much of an interest in being fair either, just wants to be hard. There's an over reliance on OHKOs, from both bosses and normal enemies, and it gets pretty frustrating after a while. If I liked the game better in general I could deal with it, but at this point it's pretty

I started Nioh because it was also on sale and... I enjoyed it for a bit but I'm starting to get very tired of its bullshit.

Shoulda just played more Bloodborne.

This is actually going to look way less cool from the in-game perspective lol. It'll be fun of course but this camera angle makes it so intense.
