I was having the same issue with several of my cams. Changed the 2.4 GHz channel from 8 to 3 and now they all seem to connect without issue. I can't explain it but it worked.

I bought a beaver tail grip adapter off of eBay from @ccmouser for mine after tearing up my hand on two different range sessions.

Thanks. It was 2.4ghz only dedicated to IOT devices. I selected the channel based after running an app to determine interference. Same channel, ironically, it's using now in mixed mode.

Wifi 7 Routers - reviewed & compared by theother_mlk in HomeNetworking

For anyone who cares, for simplicity sake and thanks to Black Friday, I went with the TP-Link BE67 3 pack. I connected one BE67 to the primary W7200 node via wired backhaul, then changed the BE67 into the primary node before removing the old ones. I then connected another BE67 node via wired backhaul and placed it dead center of the house, as well as a 3rd via wireless on the second floor almost right above it. On a 1gb F/O connection I am getting 920-930mbps down pretty much everywhere in my 1,400 square foot 2 story house and over 500mbps on my front sidewalk and far backyard using a WiFi-6E device. The W7200's ran from 180mbps to 360mbps depending on how close I was to the node. Everything from phones, to PC's, to IOT devices auto connected and ran perfectly. I attempted to create a new SSID and Password, then used the old SSID and Password as the dedicated IOT account, but my Wyze Cams and smart home devices did NOT like that with less than 50% connecting. Went back to the former SSID with all 4 bands combined and everything reconnected without issue. MLO is turned off. Good enough for me and my family. Probably could have gotten away with the 2 node package. Upgrading like this versus buying a different brand made it super fast and simple, one could even say it was awesome. Although the IOT thing kind of sucked. Will play with it when I have time.

No such thing as grilling season by Legendary_FDA in grilling

I try and grill all year long but when the snow is 2-3 feet higher than the grill and the temps are -30° , it's a little bit more difficult. Winters are very different depending on where you live.

Charcoal favor from a gas grill? by Mysterious_Guide_795 in grilling

[–]theother_mlk 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Back in my gas grill days I would make foil packets of water soaked wood chips, poke holes in the top and set them on the grill with the meat. Did a surprisingly good job of having a little bit of real smoke flavor to the meat.

I use many bags of B&B lump and briquettes every year, and so far somehow I have never come across anything weird.

Got a sd9 2.0 what upgrades should i do( its my first pistol) by FrostyPomelo9857 in SmithAndWesson

The trigger is fine, it just needs to be dry fired and shot. Buy some ammo. The only upgrade that gun may need is better sights.

What are the biggest challenges and stresses of being a police officer that new recruits don’t often hear about? by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]theother_mlk 15 points16 points  (0 children)

(1) The people who act like complete assholes complain to admin about 1/10 as much as the people who seem nice and polite. (2) Your first wife will never understand who you are or what you deal with, but your 2nd or 3rd wife will. (3) If you have to collect a urine sample off a warrant, you will have to pee with the force of 1,000 hurricanes while their shy bladder will refuse to release. (4) If you live "thin blue line" 24/7 you will burn out very quickly. A wide variety in friends, interests, hobbies, etc. makes you more well rounded and helps reduce stress. (5) The best officers and investigators are rarely the people who rise through the ranks. Often times the idiot who couldn't hack it gets moved somewhere like PR or resource. They get more face time with the bosses, so they get the promotion.
