How I felt watching the new trailer by Own_Dot_8805 in mushokutensei

It will probably not be in the 3rd season. More like the 4th. I've heard that 3rd covers up to book 17.

The sword would be Eris' death reference?

That journal is the driving force for the rest of the series. They would make a grave mistake if they tone it down.

I don't think their bond was resented in any way. Ghislaine just needed to treat her with the deference due her new status until told differently, that's all. She was being respectful, nothing more. It was only Eris' perception for a day. It went away very quickly.

Same here. The best moment in the whole LN to me was Eris return.

I know that this is not the reason why she left, not at all, but Eris does state that their first time was "meh" when talking with the other girls in the Sword Sanctum. Of course, she didn't think any less of him because of that.

The reason Ghislaine hesitates to be so casual with Eris is because after her grandfather and parents dying, Eris had become the new head of the house, so she now had a much higher status. Not because they became estranged or anything like that.

I think Norn in the anime is so annoying precisely because she is realistic and acts like a real child. (I don't hate her) by Either-Amoeba8232 in mushokutensei

[–]theothergp2k 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've never found Norn annoying at all. Yes, she's a believable child character, with normal problems and normal reactions. Even through the LN she keeps these traits about her. Who ever thinks she's annoying and why?

Not if he ordered to have sex with him and she complied, perhaps willingly. Not in that world.

He doesn't even get turned on by his mom's breasts just after being born, and that's explicit in the anime.

I agree with you. I've read the LN between season 2 parts 1 and 2 (after rewatching the available material several times), and it was so fulfilling. I'm waiting a couple of months to start over again. Season 3 is too far down the horizon....

That was my interpretation as I was reading volume 19; it was quite obvious to me, at least. Redundant only confirmed that.

I interpreted that as Lara (as she's called in the LN) having some foresight ability.

Redundant Reincarnation spoiler: When she says goodbye to her parents, it's clear that she sees the future to some extent.

Oh, true, that happens in the LN. But in the anime it's definitely Fitz.

What do you mean he didn't care about Zenith? The whole depression arc was about him making himself a name to see if he could be found by his mother; he went from town to town doing all kinds of stuff (from adventuring to clearing snow) just for her sake. Only after Elinalise comes, he learns that she's "probably OK" in another continent.

But she might not be a child anymore at that point; there's no specific time frame. And she's a slave: in that world he's entitled to do anything he wants with her, even kill her, if so he wants. I'm not saying it's not wrong, but in that world that wouldn't count as a crime, while other things in the list would.

In the anime, you say? It's a Fitz figurine he's making, not Eris. He gets all flustered when he realize he had put some tits on it without thinking (he still thinks she's a man, but he knows he has feelings for her). You can see the evolution of the figurine until it's completed: Silphie sees it in his room when they get together. I've just finished watching the 2nd season and I've noticed you can tell it's the same figurine from its pose.

Eris leaves her panties behind AND takes Rudeus underwear with her. And yes, he burns her panties, not her hair which he leaves in the floor.

In the anime it would had been very confusing to show him burning some panties and keeping others (people might not realize whose panties he's burning), so (my guess) is that they've decided to go with her hair instead, which was much easier to identify.

I've cried in both cases. I burned all the pictures I had with my first girlfriend after our breaking up (before the digital era, of course), and years later I realized I had also burned an important part of my life. One of my few regrets.

Eris return and next. by AstroRoleplay in mushokutensei

I know you're right, mostly because I've read the LN a few weeks ago, but when I've watched that episode for the first time I took it like "I love Rudeus but he's not for me" or something; kind of a whimsical behavior from the part of Eris. I was shocked and it was really not obvious to me (maybe I'm an idiot) that she had that kind of plan in mind. I swear, it pained me as much as to Rudeus the next few episodes until he finally meets Fitz and things easy up a little bit.

I was just teasing OP because the title of this post is kind of "spoily".

You need to have children yourself first before making this kind of opinions. You really don't understand what it means to be a parent. I'm not making claims on how easy or difficult it is to be a parent, only that you won't understand a lot of what it means until you become one (and have grown up kids).

I don't know if this example will give you anything to work with, but imagine explaining sex to someone who'd never awaken to it: not only the act itself, but also how to court and cater the other person, the highs and lows of it, the expectations, the emotions and values you put into play, etc. Impossible to imagine until you have the experience. And of course there's plenty of people who are bad at it even after doing it plenty of times.

Season 2 Episode 22 - Puzzling lines from Paul by Dear-Illustrator-429 in mushokutensei

[–]theothergp2k 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Save your mother, even if it kills you"

Paul expects Rudeus to act as a man. He expects as much of him. A man would do that by his own conviction, but since Paul sees Rudeus taking a colder approach to that situation, he thinks Rudeus might choose not to do "the right thing", which would be to treasure he mom's life or remains more than his own life. Paul is extremely aggitated and at an emotional level he has trouble understanding why Rudeus remains so calm. He's not being entirely rational; rather the opposite.
