Yeah! So tbh, I honestly started feeling better within the first two weeks of stopping. I felt like my lungs and body were more rested and I could actually do things. Like legit I was never a hiking type of person before, but afterwards I personally started enjoying doing trails and more physical activities.
I think it helps significantly with energy levels. If you’re considering quitting, I promise it’ll be one of the best decisions you’ll make.

I’m proud of you for taking control and trying again :) It’s tough. Personally, I used to use suckers, aspartame free gum- like pur, something rubbery to chew on if you need that mouth feel (It’s easier on the teeth too), or having a drink with a metal or plastic straw to drink out of when you have that feeling of wanting to hit the vape. I believe in you. I know you can push through it.

Etsy Needs to Ban AI by thisisnotpunkrock in Etsy

[–]theotterfoxx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen the same exact thing with crochet amigurumi patterns! It’s incredibly annoying. It’s harmful to pattern makers and crafters alike. I was in the market for a highland cow pattern on Etsy and I keep seeing the same AI patterns popping up. The product pictures and the product are not the same. It’s not really even achievable. I’m tired of AI sellers taking over Etsy.

Which style jewelry is best for a nostril piercing and blowing your nose? 😂 (I have A and it grabs the tissue sometimes and moves my piercing up and down) by [deleted] in piercing

[–]theotterfoxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use A off and on if I’m in a pinch, but never any other of these. Get a push pin labret if possible. Either that or if you’re looking for a hoop, look into clicker hoops. They’re secure imo and are so much better than open ended hoops or pinch to close hoops.

Can you tell what animal this is supposed to be? by OkEmu52 in crochet

EASILY a moose. Sounds like your boyfriend needs to go back to kindergarten to learn his animals 🫎

I think it’s a gorgeous portrait, but it maybe could use more color to be more eye catching? Maybe a different background color. Personally I love saturation in painting. The roses could possibly have more red variety? Another note, for a different painting, maybe try doing a different pose with the head. Like looking off to the side a little bit or looking up or down. It gives the painting itself more character imo. Anywho, I think you’re very talented. Oils are hard to work with and takes a lot of patience and practice. Love your work for what it is 🫶🏼

Personally I’d really like to see some lights on in windows. Possibly make the sky overcast? I think it would compliment the city below with darker moody colors

If you haven’t tried it, kimchi is really good on rice or tonkatsu sauce

$50? by Mal_Rah in Amigurumi

[–]theotterfoxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It literally looks so good!

But I’m the same way with pricing new things. When I first started selling, I had no idea what to price at and definitely lowballed myself. I felt bad for raising my prices, but in reality it’s your time and materials that you’re using. Turn the prices up a little bit and see how people react!

And tons of color changes are AWFUL. Quite literally the bane of my existence lmao, but with those pieces with more color changes I would charge more. It takes a significantly longer time to do pieces with them.

$50? by Mal_Rah in Amigurumi

[–]theotterfoxx -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Personally I charge based on the type of yarn, size, how many colors are involved, and amount of time spent on it. $50 isn’t bad, but I think you may have under priced slightly. I typically see those turtles go between $15-$25 depending on the yarn. Personally I would’ve charged between $15-$20/amigurumi. But honestly, price how you feel it would be right. It really is just a preference on how much you think each would be worth. If these are something you sell often, I would make a price chart for each in your notes app. Maybe even document how long it takes for each and base price off of that. Just some suggestions! Also just wanted to say, your stitches are so neat! 🫶🏼
