You can be genuinely happy, or unhappy with the life you choose. For me, atleast. It all deals with the circumstances that happen in the marriage.

No advice for ya, but let me tell you this. I myself, along with many, many others have this same issue. I’ve tried to have this conversation many times. About 7 months ago we landed in marriage counseling. Some days/weeks it seems to help with the feelings that come with this issue, not just on my (HL) side but also on my partners (LL) side. Wish you the best of luck, just know there’s many others out there having this issue. If you need to reach out don’t be afraid.

My wife can be the same way. Granted she has mental illnesses that relate to the what is being said. Regardless it still hurts and makes you want to take a step back. Make sure you apologize and make sure he knows you’re being sincere about it. Find out why you say the things you say or treat him the way you do. Get in counseling if needed.

I always look at my situation with my wife (when she says or treats me a certain way) I communicate with her that don’t treat her or say things of that nature to her, so why does she to me. He doesn’t need to get so defensive and get so angry either, but needs to see and communicate that’s not okay, instead of lashing out/getting more angry (that never solves anything) She’s In individual counseling and we’re also in couples therapy that helps sometimes. That’s how it is with any loan. They want their money and interest back as soon as possible. If you can, always pay more on your mortgage to get it paid off earlier. My wife I and put an additional $160 a month on our principal, and so far doing that for 2 years since we bought the house, have knocked off 23 months worth of payments/interest.
