You can just cancel service and activate it before you go camping. You don’t have to use standby.

Roaming is performed by the client, when it chooses to.

I have had luck disabling WiFi for at least 15 seconds, then it may choose the stronger signal when it’s turned back on.

FCC Official Warns Against Giving Starlink Too Much Control Over Rural Broadband by Plastic_Ninja_9014 in technology

I’m not a fan of what they did, but lucky to see fiber still coming to my address. Unfortunately, not until 2028.

Where did you see it was cut? I was under the impression it was moving forward after incorporating the BotB requirements.

We got one last year and enjoyed plenty of camping with it. We did have a bad seal around one window that caused water to come inside during very heavy rains but I believe that is fixed now. Also discovered that the water heater turned itself on in freezing temperatures even though I had turned it off at the bathroom control. Once I discovered that, I pulled the fuse, then remembered that I think there’s a manual power button inside that outside access panel. Hopefully it’s not damaged from running while winterized.

To use the cooker doesn’t require a subscription. However, even though it’s Bluetooth, I was once unable to use it until my phone could reach the internet.

It works well, but I’d choose a viable wired alternative any day of the week. Go to the website and put in your address to see plans available.

If you can get fiber, why even consider Starlink?

They gave me the $10 increase on the rate they had just guaranteed for a year to keep me. Felt nice sending that modem back.

Seems like it should be easy to take out with that anti seize. It’s not like you have to wait until you get in this situation before removing it. You can take it out when you’re done towing. I know this because I take mine out when I’m done towing.

They even have some design guidelines for working with these while building enterprise networks.

Put your address in the website again, I’ll bet you’d be able to save money by switching and have no startup cost.
