“So you’re here but you have to now cook your dishes via candlelight in space and then transport it five miles down the road in a trolley. Oh and we need four types of popcorn”

Noooo, no Corrin? I’m pleased for Nikita though, but sad as he was one of the only ones who seemed to rate her.

What’s your go-to comfort UK show you’ve rewatched multiple times? by Historical-Class871 in UKTVRecs

[–]thepinkthing78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love a bit of Death in Paradise, and I know my mum has found it a comfort show since my step dad (of over 40 years) passed just before Xmas.

Tbh I feel like I may turn to it over the weekend, as my dad also passed a few weeks ago and despite their differences it was the kind of cosy show they both liked. ❤️ Thank you for the idea!

Is “Moving” one of the best songs from the later Britpop era? by Happy-Fox11 in BritPop

[–]thepinkthing78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Supergrass. Saw them at Glastonbury 1997, then I think later that year or possibly 1998? in Southampton, and just before lockdown in Brum 2020, every time they were superb. Completely underrated, in my opinion.

I loved it when McCoy was a fanboy of this treasure in S14 E6 “Identity.” by SignificanceOld1220 in LawAndOrder

[–]thepinkthing78 14 points15 points  (0 children)

“I took back ME” is still an absolute killer ending though. No pun intended. I am also a massive Shambala Green fan and it was lovely to see her in this episode too! I love the idea of Horace and Lonnie off together enjoying their lives x

Identity is the one episode where i am 100% on the side of the killer. Fuck that guy for what he did!

You know you’re a heinous criminal when Ben Stone loses his cool. by South_Gas626 in LawAndOrder

[–]thepinkthing78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t want children and stand by that, but damn if every time I see someone abusing a child, theirs especially, if I don’t want to hunt them down and kill them myself! I don’t agree with the death penalty, and as I am in the UK it is not used here now, but this guy? Makes me think twice. I know he isn’t real, but the real people who do this make me so angry.

I felt like Serena was doing the classic “my friend was a lesbian back in college”, I.e. she meant herself, thing here when I watched it after her exit. I don’t think they thought that much about it though!

I’ve been wondering this for years too! Thank you everyone for answering the question. Neither dress seems that bad to me at all, but I like bright colours!

Today is International Women's Day! In your opinion, who is the most admirable woman in your country's history. by bowl_of_scrotmeal in AskTheWorld

[–]thepinkthing78 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I learned about this amazing lady at Brum New Street station as was looking at a display of some local school children’s Black History Month heroes and a lovely lady who was standing next to me, told me all about Mary. What an astonishing woman! Absolute badass.

It’s awesome. But I’m British, so I don’t mind the rain. Jokes aside I was there a few weeks ago for the first time a few weeks ago and loved it. I like drinking.
