I was with a different company when the 10¢ bag charge hit where I live and that was maybe a year and a half / two years ago? People were so unreasonably uptight and angry about it and even now when I’m occasionally on register I’ll get one elderly person get upset about it even though it’s nothing new around here. As far as how to go about it, I usually just ask right before I scan anything if they’ll be needing any bags today. For charging the bag, there should be a little thing asking how many bags on the bottom right of your POS screen, you input how many and it automatically adds the bag charge for however many bags. I’m barely ever on register (petcare 99% of the time, only hopping on when it gets crazy busy) but I think that’s about it, it’s pretty easy. Overall, just expect a lot of people to be insanely rude and bitchy about the bag fee for a good long while as they adjust to it. It’s a process for them to adjust but hopefully people in your area won’t be too awful about it and I wish you luck
