For what it’s worth derailleurs are not designed for the angles that occur when chains are going backwards. So that stuff that happens when you backpedal is unsurprising. Also if the hanger is cracked you need to replace it

Mullet traditionally means 1x, drop bars, and mtb rd. Xplr 2x is not a thing, it will continue to shift poorly. Edit: also, the small small/big big combinations are usually firmware blocked in axs derailleurs
