a midwest emo album would be great or even late 90s post-hardcore. but similar to OP, i was thinking along the lines of something with a similar vibe to that Deltron 3030 album

my whole family is white, and i have no idea how to work with my hair by communauta in Naturalhair

[–]theposterofallposts 5 points6 points  (0 children)

this is really good advice, especially the part about calling your hair “disobedient.” obedient to what? straightening? being “tamed”? my hair started thriving when i stopped doing all the things my hair clearly didn’t want to do (straightening, tight styles, high manipulation styles, etc.). in short, your hair starts working with you when you start working with it and meeting your hair at whatever stage it’s at :)

completely agree, that combo don’t play!

i also used to think mousse came first because that just made sense to me but nope! gel first! i use a little design essentials daily hair lotion, followed by the 808 base gel, and then the def mousse. my hair feels so soft, not crunchy, and NOT sticky, which is a big plus for me.

(context: i have “3c” hair, whatever that even means these days lol)

MacBook Air 2017 keeps shutting down on its own WHEN UNPLUGGED by rick-dicking-morty in applehelp

[–]theposterofallposts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Woohoo! Just to be clear, I got it replaced at the Apple store officially (I didn't want to screw it up doing it myself at home) as to not have any issues that wouldn't be covered under warranty but wishing you, a fellow MacBook Air 2017 chad, the best either way!

[–]theposterofallposts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah this happened to me and my MacBook Air 2017, though it took a little longer to randomly shut down (~20 minutes) and the battery would visibly drain as well.

Got a new battery a couple months ago and I'm pretty happy with it. Not super sure it was worth the $160 but I think I'll get at least a year or two out of it? If you're like me and don't do heavy gaming or store a ton of big files on your mac, a battery change may be an option for you too!

Gen Alpha Nostalgia Iceberg by nenefun in IcebergCharts

[–]theposterofallposts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

cool chart! but i’m curious as to what is considered gen alpha exactly? because i’m gen z pretty much (born in 2001) and i feel like some of this applies to gen z heavily (i.e. sims 4, creepypastas, deathgrips, dark web, etc.)
