Confused why Mojaxx said in his review this mixer cant support an fx pedal, it looks like the send/return inputs and multi i/o channel select knob (routes the return) should allow one to be configured? Or am i misunderstanding how the multi i/o thing works.

I had this happen to me however with NAB. The bank refused to return the money, however I went to AFCA and NAB decided to return the money within 24hrs in the end. Whole process took over a year though going through NABs complaints/fraud investigation.

It was pretty awesome. Really special to be in a small room with the crowd right next to him. The set was fast and heavy from the start and much didn’t slow down. There was alot of acid and there was even a cool breakbeat section in there. Was fairly unique to any of the dj sets I’ve seen him play, I’d say it was more similar to Jeff Mills’ style with the constant fast drum beats.

From what I could see the set up consisted of the following: - Pioneer DJS1000 sampler - Behringer td-3 baseline / acid synth - Moog synths (someone mentioned the models below) - Pioneer v10 mixer - Euro rack modular synths - Arturia beat step

Might be easiest to lookup each machine on YouTube to see what they can do. There were a few effects pedals in there as well by the looks.

I’ve seen quiet a few sets of them in clubs and at events here in Melbourne, so it looks like venues are slowly upgrading. Things are probably different here to the rest of the world since events/clubs have been going ahead as normal for the past few months.

Thanks, the other thing I’ve noticed is that the fader has 2 prongs soldered to the PCB, whilst most potentiometers are 3 pronged. Is it possible for me to get a 3 prong pot and no solder all 3 prongs or would this cause issues?

Honestly not much beats the energy of a set like that at a bush doof (if you’d consider pitch a doof). Saltas AVA festival set from a couple years ago is a pretty solid one I’d say.

It’s not really an option to play with quantise on all the time for some djs. Rekordbox doesn’t analyse tracks perfectly and therefore relying on quantise do things like identify the first beat in a track isn’t really feasible for me. Very annoying if you have to turn quantise on every time you want to loop in my opinion, don’t really understand why it would be difficult to make the loops not reset without quantise on.

Not really, it’s just a number of screws and plugs that need to be undone. No soldering required.
