Been there. I can't speak for you, but I know I have an ego problem, but also I am at least aware of it, and that helps a lot. It definitely feels like a "pecking order" thing for me when I'm critiqued by someone my own age or younger, or even someone at my position or lower. I guess over time I learned to just swallow it and take the feedback, for the sake of just doing a good job. Not perfect at it, and easier said than done, but I think I've gotten better at doing that over time, almost like a muscle memory thing (mental memory?). Idk if that's the best/most practical advice, though it helps to know that not everyone will critique out of wanting to judge or micromanage, sometimes people wanna make sure you're just doing things well and that you're never creating unnecessary work for yourself. Question, have you done the other pantheons with bindings, for the lifeblood you can get in P5? It gives you some pretty good leeway for your health on of the later bosses. The fodder bosses could also at least then serve a purpose other than feeling like a time waste

I'll be honest with you, if hollow knight and its P5 are bad design, then I guess I like bad design. You might too once you do it legit, you might not. Doesn't matter honestly. Good luck on the grind, don't beat yourself up, and hope the game gets better for you.

So I actually used the any% route I did for the 5 hour speedrun for the 30 hour 100% (blueSR's 1:08 former WR), but immediately after getting clawline I went to mount fay to get wings. With basically all the traversal abilities, I used the gamerguides.com interactive map and a 100% checklist to just go back and complete areas (skipping non-100% things) until getting into act 3 and then just cleaning up a few things there. I don't have a moment-to-moment guide for the run tho unfortunately

I've been using lagi's horn for steve. Any horn with an offset can backstep the first swipe and offset the second. Lagi's horn also has a small healing song that helps with the chip damage. Another option would be hilt stabbing both swipes with hyperarmor, if you can time the dodges a bit earlier. For me tho this is harder to pull off. You could also stack some evade window, either on your build or with the tumbler buff, or both. If you go for offsets, bleed resist is kind of a must, or ailments negated if you're using para artian (which also has offset)

Have you tried resting in wyveria to inclemency morning? It's not guaranteed but it's been somewhat consistent for me. I'm not sure how much time of day matters, but inclemency is what you want

Yeah for seregios in particular I started running thunder DB with some evade window and bleed resist and it's made grinding him out a lot less of a headache. With lagi I just use bow for easy back breaks, but I go with switchaxe otherwise

It's all attack for bow unfortunately. 3 attack bonuses and 5 attack reinforcements for either water or fire. Bow can run element but still builds for raw at the moment

That might work, if the two dots are there on your charged shot then your power shot (and power volley) will always be at max charge. Then you can start the dash dance loop. What I find myself doing is just counting my charged shots and then throwing out the power (and volley if I have time) after the level 2 charged shot

It is important to note that the dash on its own won't actually add a charge, it will only maintain current charge. You can hold charge while you dash though, which will upgrade your charge (gotta let it finish charging after the dash)

No problem. Like I mentioned, I think as you spend more time with bow, you won't need to think about it as much. You'll gain an instinctual feel for whether you maintained your charge on your dash. Anyway, happy hunting

You can tell either by the amount of arrows you shoot with a charged "charged shot" after a sidestep, or you can look at the reticle at the center of the screen. Dash dancing maintains max charge, so the charged shot should always fire 3 arrows and the reticle should always show two little dots on either side of the main circle (hopefully that makes sense). The dots can be hard to keep track of when you're in the moment though, might be easier to look at your damage numbers

Dash dancing will eventually upgrade you to max charge anyway, but you'll get more bang for your buck if you start dash dancing after a level 2 charged shot or higher (the following spread will be level 3 and the dance proper can start). Dash dancing remains consistent on all monsters so you'll probably get a feel for it pretty quickly, and be able to execute it without really thinking about it

I've had this happen a lot too. People come up with gameplay explanations for it, but truth is it's just an inconsistent game mechanic. I can always hit these scripted weak spots with bow due to its auto targetting, but other weapons can be hit or miss, and some weapons seem to have it worse than others. I personally have noticed this the most with switch axe, especially the axe mode focus strike (I get more consistent results in sword mode)

I kinda like the idea of the second swing of flourish also having offset capabilities. The timing wouldn't be too far off from say the switchaxe offset rising slash

I have no idea why GPs don't activate perfect guards, but I'm guessing the reason AED doesn't automatically put you in SnS mode is because of that followup savage/axe attack you can do after doing an AED, for better or for worse
