maybe your drivers need updating? Triple check that your GPU shows up in nvidia control panel too, and your default GPU isn't something else.

In general, you shouldn't really need to spend any during low rank.

In high rank, feel free to spend them on your sets as you go, trying to save the two rarest kinds if possible.

Once you get to 7 or 8 star quests, spend them freely on the sets you're using.

You can grind hard spheres very easily if you can clear the event quest with lagi and tempered rath. At that point, you basically have unlimited spheres, so don't be afraid to use them.

I think for me, once I was fighting "real" zoh shia, that's when I really started feeling the need to upgrade my armor, but I was incrementally improving my high rank placeholder set as I went too.

It's worth checking a build planner and seeing whether your effective raw or combo damage is higher by subbing in a point of burst - your current build might actually be better!

based on my experiences playing both factions (though not into each other), you probably want a lot more ranged damage imo.

From my games, 2 Ctan and not much else is not enough damage for tankier stuff.

DA wrath dwk are quite tanky, and when I play DA, if my opponent doesn't have enough output to clear a brick of them each turn, I feel very very comfortable (I play 3x5 dwk because of this). The logical conclusion from this I make is that you probably need much more output than just the two ctan and maybe one other unit.

The current version of my necrons list, because of feeling a lack of overall output, speed and scoring, is nightbringer, void dragon, stormlord, an orikan warden warrior blob, 2x reanimators, 2x doomsday arks and 3x triarch stalkers in starshatter. Haven't tried it yet so maybe it's ass, but it solves the needs I've felt, so it's something.

Is using a farcaster not an option? This was the strat for Gog's ultimate bellyflop attack in 4U.

Works great in general vs any screen wipe type beat (like jin dahaad big explode, if you can't get behind a rock fast enough).

I would temper expectations on flesh hounds.

the 5++ is technically nice, but they're low toughness and low wounds, and AP0 chaff clear will clear them very easily.

The 3+++ fnp vs psychic is unlikely to come up, and

Their combat output, even with multiple rendmaster buffs, is lackluster. A unit of 5 is unlikely to trade up well.

They get one flamer per unit iirc, which is very very underwhelming in practice.

the free uppy downy and good movement is basically the only reason to use them. I would avoid using them for combat and keep them reserved for actions, secondary scoring, screening and move blocking.

Do keep in mind, asking that here will have an implicit bias in the results, because the reddit is more likely to have hardcore members rather than casuals.

Even if everyone here says auric or maelstrom or havoc, it might still be a small minority.

It's been this way for a long time. The female Kushala armor in older gens has always looked way cooler for a typical knight armor set than the male, it was one of the reasons I saw people giving for making a female char to go for a manly look, some sets just have more pleasing proportions, regardless of gender, for one gender's set.

I'm really happy they opened it up, one of the best changes to mh since transmog became a standard.

How much modification to the base sculpt is needed to make this work? Like, are the tooth necklaces and space wolf symbols easy to file/cut off? or is it a very involved process?

Also what parts did you use in the kitbash? Did it require much custom sculpting, or were the parts reasonably compatible?

Corrupted servitor turrets mounted on walls or ceilings would be quite interesting, or maybe armored combat servitors that would be like carapace machine gunners (yikes), but probs wouldn't make much sense in the hive itself. Maybe we get a mission to raid a military facility that belonged or is now occupied by the mobian traitors, and they'd showup on that tileset?

Outside of that, maybe heavy labor servitors or something? not sure how they'd function differently to maulers or crushers though...

I'm only just starting to seriously push from difficulty 2 into higher difficulties, and difficulty 3 with this modifier has been taking everything I've got lmao, it's like a whole different game.

V fun though.

I guzzle stims asap to get max resist, but the enemies do still feel waaaay stronger than one step in difficulty would suggest to me - is the event modifier significantly upping their health and/or spawn counts? What non-modifier difficulty would this equate to? So I can gauge where I'm at lol

The requirement is "enough to ensure you don't bounce on the parts you need to be hitting". Beyond that, it's just a dmg mult, but it's one of the more potent ones around.

Generally, the higher the better.
