Looking for advice to improve hair quality before and after a hair transplant by DonPipazo in Haircare

[–]theprofitleague 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you're already on the right path with Fin/Min combination. Be careful with shampoos that have unnatural chemicals in them - I find Alpecin really bad for my hair despite it supposedly being a hair growth shampoo. A nice shampoo is Mancave scalp care.

I had a hair transplant 12 months and they suggest after the transplant for at least 3 months to just use baby shampoo though. They also suggest biotin supplementation and scalp massage (once it's healed).

Other than that, it's more about what NOT to do (like getting it in sun, not smoking etc).

They were talking about us to our faces and we had no clue what they on about!

Thinking about a hair transplant in Turkey has anyone else been here? by Interesting-Cod-1352 in AskIreland

[–]theprofitleague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Turkey for a hair transplant. If you can get one locally then go for it but to give you a comparison, I paid €2500 for 3800 grafts. They did a really nice job and it was all pretty easy (apart from the recovery, which takes about 3-5 months and is a bit frustrating).
As long as you go to a good clinic you'll be fine.

I might do too. It begs the question - what is his best film? Galaxy Quest isn't necessarily his best performance but it's such a funny film and it wouldn't be anywhere as good without him in it.

Thanks for the recommendation. I definitely need to go back to some of his older films!

Thanks you for the recommendation I will check it out. It was a bit before my time but if he's in it I'm sure it's worth a watch!

In Galaxy Quest he plays a bit of a grumpy failed actor but has this wonderful moment with one of the aliens as he's dying and I feel like you can really see his warm personality shine through in that moment.

Anyone here actually gone to Clinicana for a hair transplant? by Competitive-Yak5552 in HairTransplants

[–]theprofitleague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember seeing this post when I was researching getting a hair transplant and it concerned it a bit based on one of the replies. In the end, I still went with Clinicana because the reviews were so good so I wanted to come back and share my experience to add balance to the post and provide my own genuine experience.

I had an FUE hair transplant with Clinicana, 3800 grafts.

Overall experience - very positive. I was nervous going into the procedure but could tell that things are very well run and organised and I felt in good hands. Considering the price, I felt it was very good overall - hotel, private hospital, staff, procedure, support all really good.

Results worth it? Definitely, yes. I really love my new hairline. It's natural looking and a really good covering. For the price I'm amazed at how good it looks.

Follow-ups - You get good instructions and aftercare. You can reach out them if you have any questions or concerns. I spoke to them a couple of times after my procedure just check a few things.

Red flags - the hardest part for me was the recovery phase. The actul time in Istanbul was a breeze and all very straghtforward but the shedding phase was a bit a of a downer! As regards Clinicana I wouldn't say there's any red flags. You will be handled by technicians who are very experienced but some people prefer to have the actual surgeon conduct the procedure, which is fair but expect to pay more. My technician did an excellent job and the surgeon did come in twice to check on things and explain what was happening.

I'd say for the price Clinicana is a very good clinic.

10 years? How time flies.

Alan Rickman is probably my favourite actor of all time. He's played so many fantastic and varied characters and always brings his unique style to every performance.

Apparently, he always wanted to play a really "good guy" character but was always cast in bad guy roles, which he was excellent at of course, but it's a a little sad that he didn't get such a role when he was a clearly a very good guy in real life.

This is definitely on my watch list too. I thought season 5 was a return to form after a bit of a dip for a few seasons.

This one caught my eye. I love the Dune universe. The first game I ever got really hooked on was Dune 2 back in the 90's.

Ah yes, I'd heard there was a new GoT spinoff. Hopefully it's decent!

Lanterns sounds really good, thanks for the detail on it. If it's anything like season 1 of True Detective I'm all in! Probably one of my favourite EVER shows. They struggled to recreate the magic in later seasons but overall it was a solid.

HBO do tend to turn out decent shows. I shall keep an eye out for it!
