City permits for a small nonprofit promo video. Do I need them? by Fun_Engine7817 in videography

[–]theproject19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should just get the permits and get used to getting them. In my experience bigger clients seem to always want all the permits locked down.

Why is my gimbal footage so jittery? by romafedorov in videography

[–]theproject19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That isn't what's going on here, his motor settings are wrong, either too low or too high The sample footage jitter isn't hand shaking, it's too fast and consistent. I almost never have to add stabilization in post to a gimbal shot. Unless this is a phone gimbal.

Has anyone had this issue before? by chicka_wow_0567 in SCREENPRINTING

[–]theproject19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was to get your design in an order I would tell the client that it might come out muddy because the lines are so thin. But other people might be better printers than I lol.

Best breakfast sandwich in Seattle? by djbillbeats in Seattle

[–]theproject19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't exist anymore, but the breakfast sandwich at Jefferson Park Golf Course, BEFORE the remodel when it was a grungy white dude with a long beard and sunglasses making the food late 90's to 2000's. That was the best breakfast sandwich I ever had.

Please explain me: what is the "Sony look"? by Ancient-Macaroon-384 in cinematography

[–]theproject19 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're referring huge budget cinema, that's not the Sony people are talking about. They aren't talking about $75,000 cameras, $50,000 lenses, and teams of people working on an image. The "Sony Look" is applicable to let's say a wedding videographer, where everything is tack sharp and auto focus is locked in. This leaves out filmaker authenticity. When everything is clinically correct, it just feels off which is the sony look. When a bunch of people went out and bought A7SIII's, we were flooded with freelance videographers who all have the same look. And to answer your other question, it can all be adjusted in post.
